Just watching some TV this morning and there was a case on Peoples Court of a ladie whos cat was mauled by a "Pit Bull". The idiot who owned the dog lived next door to the lady who cat was shredded in her own yard. The man says in his statement that his dog always loses because its a "Pit Bull" and then in the courtroom he says "My dog is not a Pit Bull, Its a Staffordshire Terrier" The judge calls him out of course and the shit storm began. They must have said "Pit Bull" 25 times talking about the attack. Its not just a dog attacking a cat. Its a PIT BULL. They were interviewing the public outside and they were all like "Its not the dog, its the owner." Then the lawyer interviewing them says "No, I think these dogs are just vicious." Someone has to step up and try to educate these idiots.

it would be better to do something constructive with your time than watch peoples Court. It is a SHOW and not real. Don't let it get you worked up. Good time to play with the dogs .......

Actually, since you want to chime in with a little constructive criticism, I was feeding my daughter waiting for her mother to come pick her up. Not that its any of your f***ing business what I do with my time. Just wanted to clear that up. BTW, If its real or not, the message still went out. Vicious dogs...Blah Blah Blah. Dont talk to me like a child Nolefan. MmmK? Thanks. :)

Good time to play with the dogs .......So if you own an APBT, you aren't allowed to watch tv? I guess if you own an APBT, you shouldn't be "wasting" your time on the internet, either. You should be playing with your dog 24/7, and pretend that the outside world isn't trying to take them away. Should you also pretend that any negative thing broadcasted over the airwaves mean nothing, and non-knowledgable APBT won't take it as fact?

He's one of the common denominators. The show is real, and desicions binding. They are taken from actual docketts, and the winner is guaranteed payment by the network. (Not that I watch it, I'm to busy playing with my doggie to do anything else.)

Ya'll need to cool down, i may have said it wrong but my intention was to imply to do yourself a favor and pick something else to watch. I have people at work say how they saw this and that on those court shows about out dogs all the time. Nothing ever good comes out of those shows. So, can i assume that you were actually defending our breed by giving them ratings (by watching) to further propagate this type of bs, which will show them people like watching this stuff.

you guys are too freakin sensative. How did you read into me saying owners should never watch TV? You took what you wanted to read and ran with it and came up with what you thought i meant. I am a computer engineer by trade so I am on the net a lot while i work. I will make it your business to know that i go home and run the dog during my lunch, then after i get off at 5 we head to the house and hit the training facility to work on weight pulling. It is none of my business, i really wasn't trying to make it my business.

Yes the big bad super influence of Peoples Court who probably has a whopping 200 viewers is the main driving force that is hurting the rep of our breed. If Peoples Court is the deciding factor in anyones opinion about anything, then the person in front of the TV is a retard and a loser, and you would never convince them to change their mind at all because these people are nitwits to begin with.

Damn, I hope you guys aren't crying, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings

Let me dress this up so nobody gets offended.

I will have to respectfully disagree with you about the show being real, in comparisson to a courthouse, unless you are being sarcastic by repeating what they say before everyshow. It is real in the sense that the participants have to sign an agreement to adhere to whatever the hollywood judge decides, otherwise they get no money, which is why the typical loser is on the show. Watch court tv and judge judy and see the difference. You don't get a warrant for your arrest for not showing uop at People Court.

No one is crying. The fact is ALOT more than 200 people watch peoples court. That was the 1st of the "Court Shows" They talk about it in Rainman for love of Pete. I agree that the people you see on the shows are Jerry Springer throwbacks BUT people watch that shit. Like it or not. Im not a fan. It was on the TV when I came out to feed my kiddo. Right when I heard "Dog Attack" of course, it had my attention. Then they say "Pit Bull" and of course Im not going to jump up and change the channel to keep the network from getting ratings anymore than YOU would have. You know you would have watched it if it was on in front of you. I wanted to see what the shit storm was going to be this time. I guess to you, ignorance is bliss. Just dont watch it. Worry about working your dog like the rest of the world isnt being affected by the media. Thats what the TV is you know...."Media"? Go ahead and think its all petty, that nothing that happens on the "Court Shows" has an effect on our dogs. "Courtroom" or "Court Show", its still NOT GOOD exposure for our breed! Its not what you would call "Positive Press". Wake up man.

My point is, what is more constuctive to our breed, taking real action outside of the house, or gettin the chicken little syndrom because of a tv show? If the show is what finally opened your eyes to our rep problem, then ignorance must have been bliss. When was the last time you heard anything positive, hell even on this site there is nothing but negativity, and fear fear fear. Ignorance is not bliss, bliss is living your life without lettin everybody else influence it and freakin over things you already know. i know it is out there and the situation were in, but i keep on keepin on. My dad always said it is useless to argue with idiots, and I am saying that about the Jerry Springer types, NOT YOU. Those type of people are not worth even trying to convince because, you would confuse them with the facts because they have already made up there mind. I wouldn't want to be associated with such trash, and as we all know, unfortunately our dogs are.

I only watch sports on TV, everything else rots the brain and indoctrinates people without them even knowing it. The sad thing is, most people are more concerned about who won American idol than all the things that really matter.

They most certainly are real cases. My cousin was on that show years ago when him and his roomate fought over rent payments and bills. These are all small claims and both participants are paid. Is it a "Real" court ? Yes to an extent, the judges are real and the verdicts are real too its just on a T.V. Show geared for viewers and the show pays both people regardless of the verdict.
So i agree with you that there is a difference but the verdict is very legal and that makes it real.

The only TV judge who had any sense was Judge Mills Lane, and he's not on anymore.

You won't get arrested for not showing up, but you will lose the case and have to pay. Out here if you don't pay, you are arrested and sherrif's will confiscate stuff out of your house and sell it to the highest bidder (USUALLY FAMILY, IE: your 50inch HDPLASMA flat screen =$30usd.)
