i recently aquired a dog, good catchdog, for the good price of $free.99 and he has adba registration, only papers i got with him was the registration certificate. but on the back it has been filled out already by the guy my friend got him from. but the guy my friend got him from never actually had em sent off and put in his name, but he has em filled out. and it says on there, void if altered in any way. so i can't white it out and put it in my name, and we can't get ahold of the guy he got him from, but he does have a bill of sale the guy wrote out. also is there anyway of looking up his pedigree?? so i know what i got.

my friend gave him to me because he kept terrorizing his hogs, so that's how i ended up with him...... :D

You need the guy that your friend got the dog from to sign a Supplemental Transfer Form for you, http://www.adbadog.com/uploads/pdf%20forms/transferapp.pdf (http://www.adbadog.com/uploads/pdf%20forms/transferapp.pdf) . Whatever you do, DO NOT use white-out, scratch through, mark over or alter the back of the ADBA registration certificate. "THESE PAPERS ARE VOID IF ALTERED IN ANY WAY" means just that! Call the ADBA (801-936-7513) ask for Patty and explain your situation to her. I'm sure she'll be more than happy to help you.

I had the same issue...When I mailed the papers off, I had moved and had already put my previous address on there. I just attatched a sticky to the back with the correct information. Call them and make sure that is still allowed. I got my papers back with the correct information...

I agree with this...altering the paperwork will not get you far and the best way to go back to this guy in which he came from....

thing is i can't get ahold of the guy he got him from, he's dropped off the face of the earth. and the papers have his name on the back with the address and all that. filled in with his info.

i've been trying to call adba, and i never can get them to answer, either it comes up with that message that says nobody is in, or it's busy. or no answer at all. guess i'll try again tomorrow. btw how can i look up a pedigree online?? i got the adba numbers on the papers from him, and the sire and dam.
