I've been noticing this alot lately with Lucy, she has been eating grass alot lately, to the point where she makes herself puke. Also I know when she's going to do this because she keeps licking her chops constantly like she has a bad taste in her mouth. Has anybody else experienced this?

Yes..sounds like your dog has an upset stomach...grass tends to ease the stomach....doesnt always work though...
Might be food, nerves, or somethng that she got into...?
Inside or outside dog?
Have you switched foods?
new environment?

Well, here in spain call it something like "purging", happens when they ate something and stomatch is not feeling good or for some reason an excess of bilis (sp?).

Thats something natural but its important you know the plants your dog is eating wont hurt him, after eating they'll go and puke a mix of vegetals, bilis, food and other things you dont want to hear if you are eating something right now :D

EDIT:

If they eat grass but dont puke, vegetals usually contain good amount of fiber that will help them poop, so maybe you need to add some little fiber on his diet. Be careful because grass might contain pesticides (sp?) and worm larves.

They eat grass, to induce vomitting and ease their stomach. Eating grass isn't the problem, whatever is causing irritation is, and thats what you need to address.

Lucy is an inside dog, but does go outside when going to the bathroom and exercising/playing. I noticed that when she eats alot of dog food, that's when she starts licking her chops and goes at the grass like she's on a mission to find something.

How much does your dog weigh?
How much food do you feed daily?
What brand of food do you feed?

Well it sounds to me like either your dogs has a problem in the stomach or something in that dog food is making it sick.

Like was allready stated dogs eat grass to make themselfs throw up to get rid of whatever they feel is wrong in their stomach.so to be safe what i would do is take it to the vet and just see whats going on.if everything checks out fine then i would change the dog foos since more than likely something in it is making her sick.

dogs (and felines) ingest grass PURPOSELY to rid them of the discomfort that is in their stomachs. imo, it sounds like your dog does not like having that particular food in its belly....

I agree......or it is simply being fed freely...too much food. He said his dog does it when it eats ALOT of dog food....

You gotta give your dog the right ration of food, no more or less than needed.

If by doing this the dog makes the same eat grass & vomite, try to give food in 2 rations instead just 1, sometimes when dog stomach is empty their acids makes them eat grass and vomit too.
