What to do about sheding? China eats good food, and I have been brushing her twice a day for two weeks and the hair just keeps coming. Could it still be just winter coat or harmonal, since she lost the pups? What supplement can I try, I know they make 'em but don't know much about them. Never had this problem so bad before...

I have tried Shed X and it was pretty effective...slip it in their food daily...and there is also another one...I cant think of it right now...I will look for it.
Also Salmon oil will help too....

If she is scratching it that bad...then it is mor ethan just shedding and this above post will not help much...
Is her coat Real dry or brittle to the touch?

If it never happened before and shes not scratching it is probly do to the pups. All my females loose hair when they have pups Dont know if its any diffrent when they loose them. Also could be a reaction to the food have you changed it anytime soon.

Some scratching, no redness or swelling, Frontline Plus, no baths. Her coat is slick and shiny, almost oily to the touch on her back. I'm giving her Brewers yeast with omega 3.

It could very well be hormonal. It takes several months for a bitch's hormone levels to even back out after a pregnancy.
Also, dogs are known for "blowing" their coats twice a year usually in the fall and spring months. During this time shedding is excessive. This could also be what is going on.

Have you ever known of a dog to have to have hormone replacement therapy?

She is eating good food. I have her on Brewers Yeast with omega 3 fatty acids. I have her on Flax seed oil and she is eating treats that contain Flax seed oil.
This is really bad and none of the other dogs are shedding like this. The vet said harmonal would be the last thing it could be, so I guess I'm taking her in for a visit. This is a small clip and as you can see, it's coming out bad.

Any other suggestions out there?
my initial thought was also hormonal. but animals also "shed" sometimes excessively due to stress. anything out of the norm lately around the homestead?

No Suki. The only thing that has changed is more excercise. She even seems more playful since the Spay/Abort, like she was when Jordan was alive.

She is eating good food.
what do you feed her?
i bet once her hormones get back into synch, she'll shed less.
...just my own personal "theory" tho! ;)

I feed her Innova and a special diet twice a week:
1 cup brown rice
2 red potatoes
1 carrot
1/2 cup yogart
1 cup chicken
1 egg
