Can some one show me some dogs and peds that Mr.Mayfield use to run, I like how he did things and how he was a good man and haven't read any bad things bout him yet. That says something to me so I think he deserves me looking into his dogs, not making any choices yet, just doing some homework. So if yall would, help this youngblood out. Thanks

Where you get that book? Most of his writings are kind of ramblings , is the book written any better?

From what I've always been taught, he was indeed. Some will disagree, but they are the minority. What most agreed upon, was he was just not the same person in his later years (as I've been told, I never met him personally). He is now RIP, and he should be afforded that dignity in death imo.

you can refer to my historical thread i belive i posted about him on there.only one thing i disagreed with him on was breeding that dog during the keep before the match.

Damn good quote. Short & powerful, like an uppercut / hook. (Hookercut). I think his best dog was named " Ni**er". Thats some disrespectful $hyt. Based on that, I lost respect for him. If he didn't name his dog that, tell me I'm wrong.

You are right, that was one great dog. A lot of good dogs came from that dog. I cant be as quick to say I lose respect though. I try to give everyone a fair shake until I learn their motives behind their actions. The dog could have named after listening to some rap music, that word is tossed around more then the word repect itself in rap music.

Wow, I learn something new every day,but who cares what name some one gives a dog,and his reason may or may not be,what everyone thinks when they first hear it,and wasn't it spelt differently anyway..

I don't care how it was spelled. Its the intent (VENOM) that is conveyed. I doubt he would care how I felt about it, (which is his right) and I feel the way I feel. ( which is unflattering, to say the least) Had he matched up in N.Y., in the 80'z & 90'z, I'm sure he would have had problems. Ugly problems.
The dog in question, was definately good, but bad management (name) , shut him out of a particular fan base. (IMO)

EVERYTHING i have heard or read was disparaging of the late mr. mayfield. i've yet to come across any positive things from an objective outsider who knew him well.
