Does she look like a full blooded pit bull? She has been taken to two vets who have said that she looks as though she is mixed with a hound. What do u think? She is ADBA and UKC registered.

I can see the picture. Your puppy kind of looks like mine, who is an APBT/ German shepherd.

11wk???????????????????????????I see her now...Well, seeing how she is still in the awkward stage of growth, she might look like a couple different breeds before she is done. lol. She is very cute. Good luck with her!

It will be hard to tell just by looks, but time may tell. What do the ABDA and UKC pedigrees say about her lineage BTW?

I was thinking the same thing...or even retriever mix...
It is WAY TOO HARD to tell.....where did you get her from???? Do they not know what she is?

She is very cute. Was she a rescue? Mine is 7 months now and her colors are a lot darker then they were.

Don't go by what a vet said. At that age all APBTs look like little lab mix pups. The only thing most people think "pitbulls" are is 100lb mastiff mixes. I had my Sorrells pup to the vet for the first time a month ago and a tech asked if it was a mix. Last weekend he went in for a re-ck and a boxer owner had the nerve to tell me he looked mixed.http://www.game-dog.com/gallery/files/7/6/7/7/100_1170_thumb.jpg (http://www.game-dog.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=22634&c=3&userid=7677)Not a great pic, he never stands still long enough LOL!

She looks like An APBT to me. She just has those big floppy ears. And some lines can throw flopy ears. My friend who has Sorrell dogs some of hers has those floppy ass ears. But either way like some have said she is at an ackward (sp?) stage.
Either way good luck and she is a cutie!
edit:JrPits I didnt even read your post at first and after I posted mine I saw that you had Sorrells LOL yes some of those can have some floppy ears.

Ive seen ears like that on full blooded APBTs before, but the face looks mixed. Im no expert though. :) Good luck with your pup. ;)

The second photo face shot looks ok, she is female some do have narrow faces.
I think what throws it all off is those ears. Crop those ears up and I bet she looks a whole lot different.
Wait til I up load Otis's new pics...looks like Sally Feilds in the Flying Nun.

no telling.
and it has nothing to do with her COLOR...just for the record.....

That is a big problem right there. not that having a ped is real proof of anything these days however not getting a ped with your dog is reason for concern. I know my breeder has the papers ready before the pups are ever ready to go. If you not gonna do anything with your dog then I guess it doesn't matter what ped you have/ dont have. Just love the dog all the same. If you planned on doing anything with your dog then I think you need to contact where you got her from and ask whats the hold up.
Sounds like a case of "buyer Beware" . Sorry, hope all works out well.

I was going to ask the same thing did you get your paperwork yet, as you get more and more into these bulldogs your going to find there are many bulldogs that don't have the so called apbt look it really dosen't matter what it looks like I have bulldogs that range from the 25lbs. up to 60ishlbs. some that are built like a brick house and some that aren't to much bigger that a beagle looks are my last concern for me function is #1...........................

she is turning into a good looking dog...Did you get her ears done because you didn't want people to think she was a hound or do you just like cropped ears? Not bashing, just curious.
She looks like a run of the mill bluff to me. Appears to be a blue buckskin & most bluffs have AWFUL natural ears, esp. as pups, since most breeders do not take any consideration toward proper ear set b/c most bluffs are cropped anyway.
But at least she matured into a nice looking dog. But I'd want to know who did that crop job, b/c I'd want my money back.
JMHO ...
BTW, did you ever get her papers/ped? How is she bred?

so maybe if you took a look at general "type" of dogs the lines i mentioned throw before speaking, you would see a resemblance as theses lines throw weird muzzles and floopy hound ears.

looks like my dog did as a pup, very cute, some people used to say my dog looks like a ridgeback. Once she puts on some weight and the head fills out she wont be mistaken anymore

so maybe if you took a look at general "type" of dogs the lines i mentioned throw before speaking, you would see a resemblance as theses lines throw weird muzzles and floopy hound ears. all lines throw the same types in different litters...so I will speak when I want about whatever because I have seen jeep and frisco dogs with the same features, and some with opposite and stunningly obvious traits and you have to just know its a jeep or frisco dog but then there is the time your totally wrong and its a Redboy dog or some Carver shit and your like WTF....Features and looks all depend on other shit.... it depends on the source from each parent not just the bloodline, features are from immediate parents, there is a 50% chance grandparents will pass on nothing to grandchildren in dogs dna and genetic code....so dont act all smart and try to decide when people speak no matter what lines you mentioned, I dont care what anybody says looking at features cannot define bloodline because if you knew nothing of a dog and assumed you could never prove it was a certain blood from its looks only....

i wouldnt have cropped her ears but just kept laying them back in the rose fashion... thats what i did with all my dogs and they all have cute rose-shaped ears now!! i read an article once about gluing ears to the rose shape... let me see if i can find it. i have never tried it myself but hey, it might have worked for your little girl when she was still little...

it's hard to judge what a dog will look like from what it looks like as a pup...
this guy looked like a plott hound as a pup (sorry bad quality)http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc254/bradyfl/harleypup.jpg
this is him at around 2 years old.
http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc254/bradyfl/harley2.jpg
and again at 4 years old
http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc254/bradyfl/DVC00103.jpg
his head defiantely got a lot wider with age, i think it would be hard to mistake him for a hound now days.

mine had big years too butnot as much, seems to be the fact that gonna have big head, guess that the ears will be fine after head gets bigger
Mayday? Cuda? With that blue mask & blue nose? I doubt that, unless the Mayday line is throwing blue masked dogs now.
That dog looks more like a bluff to me. Plus, bluffs are notorious for having big, floppy ears. Why do you think they chop them off for? lol.
Either way, cute pup though! :)
