I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm still hanging in here. It's been a rough and trying week, but life has done what life does.......moved on. I miss my girl every day and I want nothing more than to ruin the guy down the street's life, but I'm trying to let the law handle it. At this point, all I know is that he has a court date sometime the first of October (talk about the right to a speedy trial, eh?). We are prepared to file a civil suit against him this Tuesday and we will. He will pay some way, some how.
As for me, well, I'm "gettin' the heck outta Dodge" as some say. Yep, I'm packing up and moving to the great state of Texas. I just need a change and need to move, so why not move states?
I will either be moving to Longview or Marshall, TX and as of right now it seems like Marshall is it. The house is right under 1900 sq. ft. living area, but it sits on 7 beautiful acres. The thought of moving away from my parents is a bit scary (despite the fact that I'm almost 30 :o ) as my mom helps me during the week by watching Cole. However, I will be 30 minutes from my grandma (my dad's mom) who lives in White Oak, TX and my dad mentioned tonight about he & my mom possibly moving up there on the property with me--I would build and they would take that house.
I've been preapproved for the loan already and my house will go up on the market by the end of the month so keep y'alls fingers crossed!

Wow....nice yard....I'll be jealous :) good luck....with everything.
I lost 3 dogs in one week early this year. They too were murdered. It really takes its toll....but I promise it gets easier. Hang in there and, as I'm sure you won't, just don't forget about all the good memories your pup ever gave you. I know I have enough to last a lifetime with the 3 I lost.
God Bless -

I'm happy to hear you are doing a bit better. Good luck with the new house and new state. I know it is nerve wrecking to leave your parents behind, but you'll be okay, and it will be awesome if they move there! I will pray that everything works out for you!..I hope you do get that guy to pay, what he did was cruel and inhumane. He is an a$$...

LB, I'm still planning on heading to Georgia in October. I have no idea if I'll be out of this house by then, but who knows. Even so, I'll just stay in B.R. with my parents the night before heading out.
And thanks again everyone. :)
Looks beautiful, Mia and i wish you the very best with your new endeavors. i agree, sometimes a nice, new, fresh start is the best medicine. good luck with whatever you decide. :)

Looks like a great place for a little boy to grow up...lots of space to run and play! You'll like Texas..its pretty much just as hot as Louisiana, and crawfish is big here too! (Of course we bring em over from LA)
Every day is a new one, just take them one at a time. Best wishes on your new journey.

i think you will enjoy Texas quite a bit.lots of people into these dogs around here.the home is really nice looks just like mine only mine is just a bit larger.question for you Mia intrested in my neck of the woods.there are a few nice spreads here up for sale at decent prices and no one here bothers you with these dogs not one living sole.little diffrent area in west Texas but to me it is perfect for living and for keeping a good yard.there is a place not far from me with 14 acres and a 2,100 sqft home on it.if you want me to check the price and such i will be more than happy to do so for y'all.and here it is a buyers market and then some i have no idea what thats going for but i am betting you could get this or one of the others for the same or maybe even a little less than thats going to cost you.
