Im getting a pup Sunday

I go get my pup this sunday and just wondering did I make the right choice.I bought the dog some innova (thinks thats how u spell it) puppy food cause I heard cannida gives them dry coasts.So my question is, is it a good dog food?

I never had a problem with dry coats with my dogs on Canidae, but like mentioned above, it depends on the dogs. Innova is also a good food though. You made a good choice.

My dogs looked like crap on Canidae (not to mention the enourmous and numerous poops).

Good for you. I have only been on this site for about 2 months or so and learned 100 times more than I had in my head when I came here. You'll find out, some things you may think is right, may not be. I know I did. There is some really educated people on here, keep your ears open and read, read, read as much as you can. I've went through most of the archives. There is a ton of info there. When you get the pup, make sure to post pictures. We'd all love to see em'.

I don't know what WWII feeds, but I have tried Nutro-Nutra Max Lamb and Rice.....Was pretty good. I then tried Diamond Naturals Chicken: 60+lb and had better results. I crack a raw egg over it and they eat it in about 10-20 minutes or so. The Diamond Natural is reasonably priced. About 24 bucks for 40pounds.

Used to feed Purina from Wal-Mart before I came to this board. W/ all the fillers and by-products. LIke many say, "I was feeding my yard about 5 cups of Purina a day." With higher quality food, you can feed less due to it being higher quality. I

I have said it brefore & I will say it again - I will NEVER feed Diamond food of any type. It was a good feed when the Diamond corp owned the comanpy, but since they sold out to a big conglomeratea few years ago, the quality of the feed has gone downhill. Not to mention it poisoned TWO of my dogs & it has been on the recall list TWICE - once for containing toxic mold & the other for the toxic melamine.

i seen some dogs tht looked awesome on kirklands signature. thats a good feed. I had alot of success with Merrick's in the past. I tried canidae but it didnt work so well for my dog. i've see some great ones on it though. seems hit or miss to me. Right now im using Timberwolf Organics and that so far is giving me awesome results.

it depends on the dog, i've had great success with Canidae all life stages, i've heard that the chicken and rice formula has caused some problems so i just stick to the all life stages

My pregnant bulldogs and puppies do excellent on Eukanuba, but when I fed it to my German Shepherd pup, he would crap 6 times a day,.... so I have to agree that not All dog foods, even the most expensive, will work for every dog.
