1. how was he really bred. 2.if he was bred to any dog and how many times was he bred before he was stolen.

how did you come to the assumption that elis pedigree isnt true?

spook, lonzos angie, cotons golgie, cottons niggy girl, boudreaux's glory bee and boudreauxs penny is who he was bred to from my knowledge

I have no idea as to how he was truly bred,some stories from respectful dogmen,that dealt with Mr. B. say otherwise.Again I don't know, I wasn't there,don't know if it's true or not,just would like to know....so if anyone would help me out...Thanks

Mr. Mayfield bred him, of course. Along with every other great dog of the past 100 years if you believed him in old age.

There was an argument back and forth about this, in the Journal, for many issues where it's all but disproved.

What theories are around about who stole him? If any. Think someone bred him after he was stolen and that we may have dogs off of Eli that are previously unreported?

The mystery surrounding him only adds to the legend.
