Well, got back from the wedding and all the following festivities. All is well.

Except, when I was getting ready to leave for the church Saturday morning, Aubrey had started bleeding like a sieve when I went out to bring her in (she was goin in her crate since we'd be gone like 12 or so hours and my wife's cuz was comin to let the dogs out).

Anyways, at the beginning of June, she had gone through what I thought was a 'silent heat,' or one with little-to-no outward signs.

see thread:

http://www.game-dog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22336&highlight=silent+heat

But I was way off. So she stayed crated all week while we were gone. I gotta give props to my wife's cousin, he did great with the dogs, doing crate and rotate, never leaving her outside on alone (he even stayed out when he put her on her chain while he watered the garden, mowed, etc.) He followed direction very very well.

Anyways, she all but stopped bleeding yesterday morning, now she's got her swell on again, so hopefully only a couple more weeks of crating her up.

I took some pics of her this morning while I was out back burnin' one.

A couple months ago, her and my jrt got switched to Canidae ALS. The best way for me to weigh her is step on our digital bathroom scale, step off, hold the dog, step back on, and figure the difference (i go through a couple times to see if it's waaay off on one or more).

So, here's Aubrey, she'll be a yr old sept. 9th, and she weighs in at a grand 36 lbs. She does look like she's put on a little more fat while we were gone, but she is getting the same feed (1.5 C 2x daily) while being crated all day.

Lookin' at ya:

I agree w/ Mecedes and Michelle, great ears. She is pretty. The first pic where she's looking at you out of the corner of her eyes is very cool.

Good looking dog, almost uncanny how she grew up to look like a clone of one I used to own.

Kergin, Id like to see that bitch in person. My offer always stands, anytime you wanna come over with your dog we can work it out. I have a lot of property and if you wanted to take her to the woods to hunt for a while that would be fine as well.

heard that.

i'll keep it in mind, as the golf course closes at the CC I'm the chef at in two weeks, which means two day weekends for kergin.

i'd like to see that girl you got out of 8ball & the wildside dog, too (I think it was a wildside-bred dog, if i remember right...)

She does have a good dose of Wildside in her thats for sure. She is a very busy dog, always trying play with whatever she can get in her area. She has developed a bad habit of fighting her stainless dishes lately, nip that shit in the bud real quick.

Just remember, its always 4:20 at my house.;)
