View Full Version : Signature Pictures

Due to the fact that many refuse to follow by our repeated requests that all signature pictures be resized to an appropriate size that is easy on everyone (especially dial-up users), the ability to insert a sig picture has been disabled.

We made repeated requests through threads and even pm's, yet many still chose to ignore us, so now everyone will be without.

In time, we will set it back to where signature pictures will be allowed as long as people will keep them appropriately sized (aka small). Everyone will be alerted to when this takes place, however if people still refuse to abide by our rules, then the feature will disappear permanently.

I was wondering WTF was up. This is the first time I have heard of this problem and I hope Im not part of it. I have dial up myself and the big pics kill me, i dont even look at the photo contest forums at home cause it takes too long.

I hope people listen because I like the pics and would hate to see them gone.

Maybe it is a lack of computer skills that is the problem, some people dont know how to resize?

I like the pictures too. But threads have been posted and some people were notified via pm that there pics were too big, but we honestly relied on common sense and it seems that it's just not there.

I wish there was a way to set a size restriction so it would be impossible for people to have bigger ones, but we cannot with this forum layout.

So in the meantime, people will notice that their pictures have become links to the pics instead.

We are going to set a size that we would like everyone to adhere to, and when we do then we will reset the option.

I have no problems with big pics, but I understand it well.

I think moderators need to have acces to edit user's signature... and delete/resize it. If someone receive a PM and do not reply, well I think it's time to do something about... it's not fair everyone pay because the error of a few... this is my honestly oppinion.

PS.: I did not received any warning, so I think my pic is right, isn't?

thanks alot to the stupid asses that just couldn't listen....why is it a few morons always have to fvck it up for everyone else. yo mang - in the spirit of making this a better on-line community, shouldn't we refrain from name-calling in public? i'm not tryin' to step on your toes, but what if they didn't frequent the forum and recieve their notice(s)? I'm not tryin to defend anyone, but no one knows the communications had between the parties except those involved and the mods.

the mods have better things to do than babysit hard heads who refuse to comply. so IMO in the spirit of making the place better maybe they should learn how to follow simple requests instead of ignore them like they don't have to. ;) i guess i could have left the names out, but shit it pisses me off when a privelage of MINE gets taken away because of SOMEBODY ELSES STUPIDITY! kinda like our dogs and bsl. a few bad apples always have to spoil the bunch.

I know ignorance is never an accuse, but I honestly never hear of this till now. What size do we need to bring them down to? Because I will definitely re-size mine...I thought maybe just my pc wasn't showing the picture and just the link...

Is this also a new rule on the pictures posted on a thread? Because I just get links on Pet of the month and stuff like that as well.

I think that has something to do with your personal options/settings. There is a check box in there that asks if you want to see pics or not..you might want to check that!
