Yes, I fed it for quite some time, it was my primary feed of all the dogs at my home, puppies, special needs, and working dogs. "On the yard" I quickly found it was too expensive to feed a large number of dogs to sit on the chain. Once I was steadily feeding 8 mouths a day, I was forced to look elsewhere. I'm once again having good results with Canidae, at less than 1/2 the price.

I've used it and do use it. As noted, too expensive to feed a whole yard, IMO. But I think it is fantastic food.

I love the food and have fed it pre-raw. My Boxer still gets their Wild and Natural with raw because he burns calories like they're going out of style.

All my dogs eat it including my co owns so that when they stay with me I can feed the same thing and not worry about it. It can be pretty exensive, but they thrive on it. I also feed Nature's Variety Raw.
I've been feeding it for almost three years.
Before that I fed Wellnesss and when they changed their formula I switched to TW. The main difference is less feed and less poop

I switched from Iams to Timberwolf in April. The difference is amazing. I dont have any before pictures in my gallery yet but this was taken a few weeks ago. I'll never feed anything else as long as the price doesn't go up.http://www.game-dog.com/gallery/files/7/6/7/7/Picture094_thumb.jpg (http://www.game-dog.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=21802&c=3&userid=7677) Here is the before picture - looks like a different dog.

I have been searching through the forums regarding TimberWolf. I have been hearing & reading mostly positive reviews. I have to admit, i am a bit skeptical. Is it just hype, high cost, fancy bag, or is it truly a superior feed. Skimming through the forums i was really looking for some evidence of why TW is so much better. Most of what i have read are people claiming that TW has given there dogs great results. I would like to know the reasons why people feel that TW has made such a difference.
Currently i feed Canidae. My dogs love it, and its not too costly. However, if there is something better out there. Then why not give it a shot i figure. Yesterday, i went to my local feed store inquiring about TW. The owner told me that he only had 1 big bag of TW in the store. After that we ended up having a hour long convesation about dog food. He also told me that he has heard good things about TW. However, he did say that the owner of TW has had problems paying his bills. Resulting in him going through several different manufacturing plants. He advised always to be aware of where a acutal feed is being manufactured. All that swithing makes me wonder how consistent the feed really is. He mentioned that alot of these newer dog foods companies have great intentions. However, its when they have to find someone to pump out there food is where the problems can occur. Not many of these start up companies can afford to build a manufacturing plant to process there own food.
Well after the hour long conversation he gave me(free of charge) a big bag of Wild and Natural.:D He just asked me too give him some feedback on how well my dogs do on it. He also gave me a bunch of samples of a newer food called Taste of the Wild, i think it comes through Diamond.
The biggest thing that catches my attention comparing the two feeds ( Canidae chicken formula) (TW wild n natural) is the amt. of protien.
TW=36%
CAnidae=26%
Now i am trying to do some research regarding the ingredients. What makes it so much more costly and perhaps better than other feeds?

I feed Solid Gold Wolf Cub and I seem to have good results. It has kept my dogs' coats shiny and lessened the amount of poop and they seem to like it. Before it though, I fed eaglepack. About Timberwolf I have read a lot of good things about it, but the price was high and I didnt have the money to buy a 33lb every month

Bullydogs, from what your friend at the store said about TW switching plants, it does make sense. I went from Purina to Solid Gold To Canidae to TW. I also tried a bag of TW when I first started Canidae. That first time I got it, the kibble looked completely different than when I switched to all TW a few months later. I think when I first got it, the quality was definitely better than it is now, at least for the Dakota Bison, which is the only one I use.
I love Canidae, and it worked very well for me for the longest time, but TW works great for both dogs, so rather than having 2 types of kibble, I go with the one. All that said, I will probably be switching to raw once I have learned enough about it.

I looked here, but after shipping and handling, a 20lb bag of Canidae was about 35.00. Anyone have another place to buy feed? I don't have anything good where I live.

The way I found my feed store is through the TW website. Just check for authorized distributers and look for one in your area. If they carry TW, they probably carry a few other quality foods as well. I got lucky, and the one I found is a wholesaler, so I get a really good deal.

I feed TW and I've been extremely happy with it. Though, both stores raised prices close to $8/bag around here.
