There are a zillion different trains of thought on this topic . Personally it's much better to under supplement than over do it . Too much of the wrong supplement and you'll run hot during conditioning or competition ie. weightpull . I use just a one a day Pet Tab i get from a feed store and 250 mg vit C for an antioxident . For the meat i switch up daily 4-6 oz chicken , jack mackeral , beef sirloin , and organ meat -livers and heart . It's simple but effective . Nothing takes the place of hard work and attention to detail . I believe knowing when to rest 'em is as important as anything . Just my 2 cents , Good luck !

I do things a little different but for the beginner the above is very sound.

Good post. I do things a little different but for the beginner the above is very sound.I would like to hear the old school ways, I found an oriental market that sells big beef bones for .46 cents a pound, they leave quite a bit of meat on em and they even cut them in smaller pieces for me, my dogs love em.
