well in a way this is not about dogs but really i guess it is.reason i posted thin is history is because thats what i help a lot of people with is what happened back in my day and the way things were and in some cases still are done.i couldn't post this in the other site because for some reason i can not post or do anything on it.but the whole point of this thread is,it was recently brought to my attention by one member of this board that i am nothing but a contaminaton of this board.shoving a bunch of bullshit down everyones throats so the reason i created this thread was to get everyones opinion on the matter.because i will leave if everyone thinks the same.wich is why i put a poll on here if it comes out right it should have so you can select should i stay or should i go.i hope it doesn't get closed or deleted because in a way it does pertain to dogs because thats all i talk about on here and help people out with.

Do I even need to say it? Theres no way you should leave! You have more know-how in this lifestyle than probably anyone else in here. Its rare you find a man/dogman with so much experience and knowledge to give (whos willing to do so) and thats that. I for one am glad to have had the chance to talk with you and Im sure there are plenty of others here who feel the same way I do. I can honestly say if you leave, I will too. Just ignore the PETA nut huggers man....IMO, you are one of the most valuable people on this board. In just the short amount of time that I've known you on here I've learned quite a bit from you and I'm sure several others have as well.

You know this is the internet and you never really know who is who. But your Posts are valuable information and this is the most important one . Old Timer

This community was created to educate people about this breed. I can think of no one better to aid in that education than someone who has many years of experience with them. You have experience that many here don't and never will have and to me that makes you an asset to the community. You have lived the history that we only read about. Not everyone will view that with the same honor and respect that I do but such is the way of things. I enjoy visiting this board and reading the posts that people make but few garner the admiration I reserve for those, like you, who can speak from a lifetime of learning.

Your points and opinions are as valid, if not more so, than anyone else's here, it's up to them to take it or leave it. What a boring world it would be if we all thought the same way. So, in my opinion, you should stay.

Keep up the good work my friend. For every one person who finds your advice/opinion wrong, there are many more that will nod in agreement.

I have, however, spent hours (and hours) reading old threads and I can say this: I have enjoyed your posts since I read the first one. Why? Because there is no PC bullshit. You call it like you see it, right or wrong, popular or not.

In this day of beating around the bush for the sake of politcial correctness and sensitivity, it is refreshing when somebody just comes out and speaks the truth. A thing can be unpopular, politically INcorrect, and true at the same time, which people seem to have a hard time understanding for some reason.

Well I guess since no one else spoke up from what I can see and said why they voted go.. I'll tell you why I did (not that it matters the members here want you to stay and voted so). I voted go for a few reasons.. one being that I didn't like the whole who wants me to stay poll.. came across in my eyes at least as fishing for compliments, and pity. I didn't like that.. Secondly you remind me alot of Atilla and his stories... there are several people on here that I spoke with about right after I became a member and told them I though Atilla was full of himself and some other stuff as well. His stories like yours are too fantastic.. Maybe they are true, I don't know but I have a few doubts. Your story of seeing Toney and Ted match in miss back in the day was almost word for word out of Stratton's book The World of The American Pit Bull Terrier.. which he pulled the story from a lady..Linda something or another which she sent in to the Gazette. So with all that being said.. Well I guess since no one else spoke up from what I can see and said why they voted go.. I'll tell you why I did (not that it matters the members here want you to stay and voted so). I voted go for a few reasons.. one being that I didn't like the whole who wants me to stay poll.. came across in my eyes at least as fishing for compliments, and pity. I didn't like that.. Secondly you remind me alot of Atilla and his stories... there are several people on here that I spoke with about right after I became a member and told them I though Atilla was full of himself and some other stuff as well. His stories like yours are too fantastic.. Maybe they are true, I don't know but I have a few doubts. Your story of seeing Toney and Ted match in miss back in the day was almost word for word out of Stratton's book The World of The American Pit Bull Terrier.. which he pulled the story from a lady..Linda something or another which she sent in to the Gazette. So with all that being said.. YFISyeah me and Dave knew each other very well and lived close to each other when i moved to Texas.he was 2 years my senior and we were always very close friends.he was the one who told me about this website he loved it here because as he got older he couldn't do as much as he once could so he could talk dogs a lot here from the comfort of his own chair in his home,very much the same reason i joined.i was always telling him i would join but never did till i was at his funeral and his children told me about how he was always on the site and loved it.they even printed out his screen name picture he used on here and his signature and such and had it stitched on the inside of his coffin lid along with other things.so after a while i decided to join.

A little off topic, but since Attila was used as a reference in this thread. I'll personally confirm what Old Timer stated regarding William. He's a good man who's seen quite a bit serving our great country. Can he spin a yarn? Yes LOL. But as Old Timer said, that was only about 2%...real life experience has a way of seeming too much to be true, especially in the line of work he use to be in.

A side needs exactly people like this, people with real experience and the time and desire to transmit knowledge . People that have already proved everything . I had a few months back on this side a very living Diskusion with another very well known Dogman (MN). When it was about it when and whether a dog is to be picked up Texas Pitdogs announced itself to word. You could feel and see his heart for Bulldogs . Yes he was real one. Maybe you have not noted it yet .... it is not any more about it whether you should remain. You must remain. Texas Pitdogs has send you in....;)
