Looking at some of you guys posts, I really feel sad for the future of the breed, is it that bad,if it is or not, thats not the deal. The people are,the ones who abuse these lionhearted dogs and the ones you vote for ,who evidently, like the first truly do not respect this breed. Before you vote for these people make sure you know where they stand and they better not forget where you stand... all of yall.

Say what???Nice to meet you to ,see your not supose to underestimate anyone. Oh.. you were just referring to my comment BOW WOW
NO doubt you SHOULD find out your city/state councilmen's point of view when it comes to their opinions regarding "pit bulls" and obviously do NOT vote them into office. so yes, this is a good point to see where they stand PRIOR to voting for them. Rudy "G", immediately comes to my mind.... and that SOB will NEVER get my vote for pres.
BSL will ONLY win if we the people allow it to do so, which will ultimately detirmine the future of this "breed".
and imo, BSL is the shits and is REALLY bad!

I gotcha'. ;)
Yep, like you & Suki have stated, it's very important that we know where are presidents, governors, mayers, federal & state senators & H. of Representative members & all other council members stand on the issue of "dangerous breeds" before voting for them.
For instance, I think Rudy stands the highest chance of becoming the Republican candidate, but his stance on "dangerous/vicious dog breeds" & abortion (says he's pro-life then votes pro-choice on everything) really pisses me off.
Disclaimer: I am not talking about abortion nor am I opening the door to do so. I'm just using those 2 issues to explain why I just can't in good conscience vote for him. Because if I did vote for him & then he banned my beloved breed of dog & gave me the ok to kill my son at the same gestational age he was born at, no matter how pissed off I became, it would be partly my fault because I helped put him in office.

I havent a clue of who to vote for, they are all a bunch of liars! Have you seen the debates lately? All of a sudden they are all religious. Yea right, they just say what they think will get their votes. Too bad they cant be thrown in the joint for lieing while on the campaign trail! I bet if Juliani came to a bulldog show, he'd talk about how much he loves them and how he will advacate for them!

But how do you know who supports what? I don't know but I would imagine that anything to do with any breed of dog is pretty far back in the minds of most politicians; that is until enough people with nothing better to do start bitching about this or that.
Besides, like has been said, what a politician says now will probably not be what he says in five minutes.
BTW, this is my first post here and would just like to say, nice forum. Very informative, both historically and currently. I'll try not to irritate everyone with more dumb questions.

Fred Thompson??That is who I am looking to vote for...i don't know his stand on our breed, but he seems to respect the Constitution, so I have a feeling he wouldn't go insane with dumb laws like BSL...Plus all his other stands are right on the money with my views.
