A buddy of mine has a dog and I have a suspesion that his papers are hung. He is supposed to be Red boy/Carver/Beaudreaux. This dog is quite large 72lbs and has little drive. He is very defensive about the dog and his papers but if I can get him to let me see his ped is there anyway to find out if it is authentic. I know he's not my dog so why should I care. I really would like to know because this guy is selling puppies like crazy at $900 a pup. I can't stand people like this and if I can help one person see that this is not the person to buy a puppy from then I will feel better.

If someone hung the papers, they probably aren't going to admit to it years later. Really, the only thing you can do is buy from people you trust. Sometimes, it's quite obvious with age diffrences (dog being dead for 5 years suddenly siring a litter) or such, but generally most people aren't so careless. They make their living hanging papers, so it's not like most are going to change ways to help someone who is acquiring about a dog not theres, you know?

All the lines you mentioned, are generally on the larger side as well. It's very possible, especially if the dog is fat and overweight.

Personally, unless your buying pups off him, theres not much reason to waste energy worrying about something that really doesn't effect you.

I have seen Boudreaux X Chinaman crosses in the 70 + pound range and also seen Red Boy X Carver dogs in the same range.

Not all game bred dogs are bouncing off the wall, some are real mellow.

Thanks y'all it's just something doesn't feel right about these dogs. But I'm not buyin any pups from him so I guess it shouldn't matter to me.

It sounds like they are catch weight, hog dogs to me. It's nothing uncommon at all...And as it was already mentioned, thoses lines arent 100% small dogs. I know a few people with Carver dogs that are "large", including my self. . .

I know I have a male Beudreaux/Carver/Jeep he's 58lbs. But I'm not buying pups from him so no big deal. My grandfather always told me no matter what a bulldog looks like or what he is supposed to be if it doesn't feel right then walk away. It sounds like they are catch weight, hog dogs to me.
