So I've been working Folsom lately (just walking alot really)... I am looking for a few more suggestions on what else i can be doing to get him alittle better show condition. Other than that..how's he looking? Any flaws that just jump right out?
Still not sure how to get him to stack..

Thanks.. I'm really not doing much other than walking him.. I've tried swimming in the pond and he's not a big fan of it, but we're still working on that. We walk about 2 miles a day, and I do alittle chain dragging around the yard. Getting rady to get a harness from Shane (Stillwater) and maybe try and do some pulling alittle. The big problem is other than food I'm having a hard time motivating him.
As for food I feed Kirkland's Signature Chicken, rice, and vegetable formula and follow the weight / cups chart which for him is 3 cups daily.

crazy k9 i am working on a dog right now for a show comming up my lil buckskin dog. You had asked how much walking does he do with his dog? Does that Play a big roll on toning muscle up more cause as of right now i use my carpet mill and dragging chain at the park, and lil spring pole to just let him tug. I do the flirt pole a bit as well...........

ok you asked for my honest opinion so here it is.he looks damn good son,but add just a little more muscle to tighten things up and he will be perfect.from the pictures i see here he is right on track for just walking some chain pulling and good feed.when he starts to drag a little weight he will build that little bit of muscle and be perfect.he doesn't even need that much muscle just to kind of tone him up a little.but no obvious flaws jump out to me at all.keep up the hard work because it will be worth it in the end.

He's looking pretty damn good. I'm not a judge, or attend conformation shows (yet) so I can't give an opinion of any serious nature, just that he looks good to me.
And yes, handwalking really DOES do that much for a dog. We have never used a treadmill or jenny on ours, and I've yet hear the dog wasn't in tip-top shape in the woods.
The recent pictures of Flaco, were achieved purely by handwalking, handwalking, and handwalking, and dragging light chains on a harness once or twice a week.

If I am going to do weight dragging I need to invest in a harness right? Can he drag a heavier chain around from his collar without hurting him..until I can get the harness? Thats my next purchase from Stillwater.

if ur doing drag weighting then i think a good harness is the best way to go, im pretty sure ur dog can get a serious injury by dragging a heavy chain for a distance by his neck. As far as the dog looks, well i think he looks good but maybe u should up the walks to a little longer if he won't do many other forms of workouts. I currently walk my dog about 3.5 to 4 miles atleast 4 times a week if not more and he is definately more toned and has more energy, keep it up

He is starting to shape up and looks much better. As far as the drag weights, I wouldnt worry too much about adding muscle mass if you are showing adba. If you keep feeding right and cross-train with a focus on cutting fat and adding wind it will all come together in a few weeks. Keep up the good work.
He's starting to look great! good job!
