So what do you think of her?

I've actually felt up to walking her a lot lately so I'd say she's been getting walked an average of 1.5 miles a day.
She gets fed 1 cup of Authority lamb & rice (http://forums.dogfoodproject.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=dogfood&Number=400&Searchpage=1&Main=304&Words=authority&topic=&Search=true#Post400), which I know isn't good food but I'm not the one buying it so I have no choice. She does good on it though. Coats great, not gassy (unless she has rawhides), healthy stool, only empties once (maybe twice) a day...

She weighed a little under 42lbs last time she was at the vet, about 3 weeks ago. I think she might be at 40 now, but I'm not sure. She is about 20" at the withers.

Thank you. :D

Turner, she's all mine. ;) No fosters right now, although she is from the same shelter I volunteered for.

She is definitely a sweetie, just really shy. When I first got her (2 years ago this July) she had her tail tucked constantly. Every little noise scared her to death. Now though... well, it's hard to believe she is the same dog. She is still a bit wary of men and children but I have plenty of neighbors that are helping me out with that.

BTW, that is a Stillwater collar she's modeling. :p ;)

______________

Should I increase her feed? She always acts like she is starving... but when I used to feed her 2 cups a day, she got fat. She ended up being about 46lbs.

Also, what do you guys think she has in her? I swear sometimes I see pit bull in her but other times... I dunno. The only breed that she looks like is a Carolina Dog but a lot of mutts do I guess and they are fairly rare.

At her size, 42 pounds, I'd probably say she's a few generation mutt.

But from the pictures I've seen of her and her litter mates I'd say terrier(Jack Russel maybe?) and chow(large). Really depends on her temperment; Is she super active? Does she have insane prey drive? Does she seem undomesticated?

Although it's really unlikely she's about the size for a Jindo mix.

Oh, quite the opposite, lol. She is a lazy bum. She can be really active if I want her to be though. She runs around like a greyhound but then she gets tired really easily lol.

Prey drive? Again, if I ask it of her, she will get crazy over something, but she doesn't react to cats, birds or tiny dogs. She does track animals though.... and boy if she finds a den, she'll go nuts. She'll howl and dig until she can get her whole body in there!

She does probably have a bit of everything in her. Her and her sisters were found out in the country where people let their dogs roam all over the place and don't spay/neuter.

I am almost certain though, that she has some hound in her. I know she doesn't quite look like it, but she definitely acts like it and her sister Mona looks a bit Beagle-ish.
