I'm just curious as to how long after increasing exercise do you typically see results? I know it varies, but for a rough estimate lets say the routine is doubled (in a healthy way of course).

I ask, because I started running/jogging Java for a mile a day (on a bike) on top of his 5 mile walk, and he's been working the spring pole about a half hour every day from maybe every other day (some times less...it was cold and I was lazy bleh). It's been about a week and I swear he looks even better than before. A neighbor commented today on our walk on the definition in his legs looking nicer, too. I thought it was wishful thinking on my part, until she mentioned something (and it's not somebody I talk to, just say hi as I pass by).

Depends on fat/muscle ratio in your dog and how consistent you are. Usually after about two weeks, if you've been working and feeding right, you'll start seeing good results.

also, it can depending on muscle memorie if the dog has been in shape before. just like a person its easier to get back in shape if you been in really top shape before.

Thanks for the replies! I think most of him looking better is because of the walking, we started doing the 4-6 miles a day about a month ago, and just started the running and additional spring pole work. He definitely hasn't been top notch before lol! I'm going to take pix every other week so I can see the difference :)
