I have 2 pits.. they get along great most the time. but have there lil arguements now and then..

why is it i cant walk them together.. everytime i try.. i only get like one house away before i have to just say F it and put one away and take the other.. its been like this since my female was a puppy.. to me it seems like shes upset cause my full focus is not on her .. so she acts up and pick on him to make him mad to make a big scene.

i just want to know.. why i cant walk them together and if there is any way i could get them to start..?

There APBTs.
That says it all right there.

Besides, it's generally safer to walk them one at a time.

you could try walking them together , byt you need someones help. mine do the same, they bought try to catch my atention, so i can't walk them together :). try this: you walk one dog, and a friend can walk the other one at the same time, maybe in front of you, and then you change places, and this is one great exercise.

in there mind its like a hunting trip..the dominate one wants to lead and if anything gets close its on..i made the mistake of letting both of mine go after a wild turkey..no breaking stick..and just me..lucky it was in a creek and i found a deep hole..almost had to drown them but luckly it worked...never ever walk two dogs..on top of that they will drag you to what they want..

i understand they are apbts..
well the female.. is a amstaff i guess you can say.
and i unerstand there background, im just trying to make it easier for me. but it doesnt look like it will be possible.

last night i was walkin the female and my sister was walking the male..

he just minds his own business.. he could really careless about being in front or stuff like that. hes an old man with pretty bad hip dsyplasia.

but if he gets infront of the female.. shes throws a "bitch fit" like she will try to fight him in a away.

i just want to know if theres anyway of breakin her from that "bitch fit"

None of the dogs should be in front of you for a start. They should be next to you or a little behind you. Until they learn never to pull. I walk all 3 of mine at the same time. I do not walk them alone. Not because I can't but because if another dog were to be running loose and come up to us there would be no way I could control all 3. My male is extremely DA and if I have only him I can control him but the females would want to help him get the strange dog and I would lose.
So my grown granddaughter usually walks with me but I control all 3 leases if nothing weird is going on. In the event of a strange dog she takes the females.
If you are only walking 2 dogs put one at your right knee and one at your left knee and start walking. A lot of people think the Dog Whisperer is full of sh*t but ever since I watched his show a few years ago and tried doing things his way I have had well mannered dogs. So here I am 62 years old walking 3 APBTs weighing a grand total of 146lbs. When I think of the years I spent being pulled and dragged. The years I jerked and yanked on dog necks. Watch the Dog Whisperer and learn to have a pleasant walk with your dog.

I want to start off by saying that I don't think anyone should ever walk more than 1 dog at a time. Why? Because if something were to happen, such as a loose dog attacking one of your dogs, what are you going to do then? Let go of the 2nd dog to help out the first dog? Let both of the dogs go? Try to hand one off to a stranger? Face it, in the event of an emergency situation, you are utterly & totally screwed. When walking one dog at a time, you are able to a) focus all of your attention on that dog (which is what should be done) b) be able to tune into your surroundings better & c) have the use of both hands should a fight with an of leash/stray dog arise (& it happens much more often than most people think).

Second, what you are experiencing is exactly why you should only walk one dog at a time. Any little thing can trigger excitement in one dog & that dog will turn & redirect onto the other dog as that is it's only outlet. Fights happen often among ALL breeds. And while you are busy trying to get those 2 dogs to walk together peacefully, you have no idea what is going on around you.

Moral of the post: Quit worrying about it & only walk 1 dog at a time. :)

I agree 110%. I don't care how much "Dog Whisperer" you watch, you are going to be SOL if a stray (or strays) jumps your pack of bulldogs.

I was going to say have the female on a longer leash and the male on a shorter one, would work with other breeds, but after reading other post , it wouldnt work, your better off walking one dog a time.
