...for a VERY LIMITED TIME ONLY those who subscribe to premium membership on www.pitarchive.org (http://www.pitarchive.org) will recieve the e-book, INTERVIEWS WITH DOGMEN, featuring awesome interviews with the greats, including DANNY BURTON, FLOYD BOUDREAUX, ED CRENSHAW, PETE SPARKS, FAT BILL, GARY HAMMONDS, BOBBY HALL, VIC AYCART, THE MOUNTAIN MAN, AL BROWN, STEVE HENDRICK, V&B KENNELS, SONNY SYKES, JACK KELLY, and yours truly. Some of these interviews aren't available ANYWHERE ELSE, and some are almost as rare. The book (in Adobe pdf) is 112 pages long, complete with accompanying rare photos. By itself, it was being sold recently for as high as 85 bucks, but it's available right now for free with a paid subscription to Pit Archive, but again, it's only for a limited time, so get it while you can save some money. Those of you who have been waiting for the right time to subscribe to the top APBT history resource on the net, now is that time. Don't miss out on this deal, people, it won't come around again.

Is it available on the site later, or is this only a promotional thing for subs. Curious, since I already am a premium member ;)

Very cool! Must of just arrived, I checked my email earlier this morning. I'd like to say, this is the absolute best pitbull archive I have ever seen available on the net, and they are continually rewarding members for a very small membership fee.

Q: Why doesn't the entire webpage fit on my screen? Or, why does the site layout look funky?
A: The site is optimized for viewing with Mozilla Firefox, and the css script does not load correctly with some versions of Internet Explorer. We are trying to address this now so that the site looks equally good on all browsers. Currently, however, it is a much more pleasant viewing experience with Firefox, which you can download for free here (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/), or using Opera or Safari. Bear with us on this, since Internet Explorer sucks anyway.
Q: How do I subscribe to a premium account on Pit Archive?
A: Once you are logged in to the site, you'll notice a block which says Paypal Subscription: Premium in the upper left corner of the page. Once you pay through Paypal, you will automatically be granted full access. The cost of a premium subscription is $30.00(US) for one full year. You must first be a registered user on the site before you can upgrade your subscription to Premium.
Q: Why should I subscribe to Pit Archive when there is so much free pit bull stuff on the internet?
A: You get what you pay for. There is a great deal of pit bull information on the web, but there is no other site with such comprehensive and accessible pit bull history. There is a great deal of never-before-published, exclusive content, and more is continually being added. Premium subscribers have full access to Pit Archive's database of historic images, articles, and audiovisual materials, and can upload and comment on historic content, blog, and advertise.
In addition, Pit Archive is a nonprofit organization serving the pit bull community, and must have the support of the community to survive. Please consider becoming a founding supporter of this worthwhile effort.
Q: I don't have a credit or debit card. Can I still purchase a premium account?
A: Yes. Pit Archive accepts both checks and money orders. Please contact us (http://pitarchive.org/?q=contact) to request a mailing address. Your premium account will be activated immediately upon bank clearance of the check or money order.
Q: How do I make a donation to Pit Archive?
A: Donations can be made by clicking the button in the Paypal Donations block in the upper left corner of the page. Although the "suggested amount" is ten dollars, any amount is welcome. To donate by way of check or money order, please contact us (http://pitarchive.org/?q=contact) to request a mailing address. You may also "donate" to the museum in kind by contributing historically significant materials (see below).
Q: What does Pit Archive do with the money from donations and premium subscriptions?
A: Pit Archive, Inc. is a Georgia nonprofit corporation, and under its charter, all funds must be used for charitable and educational purposes. Monies will be spent, first and foremost, on the support and growth of the museum. Costs related to the museum include expenses for hosting, software, web design, purchasing collections, and digital archiving and preservation. Beyond these immediate operating expenses, donations to Pit Archive, Inc. will fund an endowment for the future growth and expansion of the museum, which may include the development of programs and exhibits to benefit the breed, as well as the eventual establishment of a physical museum space.
Over and above the maintenance and growth of the museum, funds will also be used when available for breed advocacy and education, defenses against breed-related persecution, and the fight against breed-specific legislation.
Q: How do I upload images or stories to Pit Archive?
A: As a premium subscriber, you will be able to add historically significant content to Pit Archive. Click on the "create content" link on the left sidebar. Choose the type of content you are uploading from the available list: image, story, ad, video, audio, etc. After you have submitted your content, it will remain in the moderation queue until it can be reviewed by a site administrator. In order to ensure that the museum retains its First Amendment protections, Pit Archive hereby retains the right to reject or remove submissions at any time in its sole and absolute discretion.
If you have a substantial collection to share, please contact us (http://pitarchive.org/?q=contact) in order to make arrangements. In some cases, Pit Archive will pay for shipping your materials, make digital copies, and return them at no cost to you.
Q: Can I advertise my products or services on the Pit Archive site?
A: Premium subscribers may advertise in the classified ad section of the forum, which is viewable by the public. With the mass extermination of pit bulls going on today, we believe that responsible breeders are necessary to preserve the gamebred APBT. Yet Pit Archive only supports responsible breeders: those who health test several generations back, breed from stock that is titled in working events for pre-approved homes, and provide stringent contracts and health guarantees. We are not in the business of policing breeding practices, but we must reserve the right to remove ads which are deemed unacceptable. Pit Archive also appreciates the donation of a percentage of sales from those advertising here.
Premium subscribers can also add links to their own websites through the "create content" link on the left sidebar, and should also feel free to add links to Pit Archive on their websites (just contact us (http://pitarchive.org/?q=contact) for the html code for our banner).
Q: Does Pit Archive condone dog fighting or any such type of animal baiting?
A: As a site of historical preservation and research, Pit Archive does not glamorize or demonize activities which have already been deemed illegal by the U.S. government. The purpose of Pit Archive is to explore and share with others the fascinating history of the pit bull breeds. In order to understand the nature of the modern-day pit bull, it is imperative to understand its history. Fighting and baiting -like it or not- is part of this history. To those who would judge us harshly for our interest in these subjects, we like to quote Mr. Justice Brandeis, in his famous dissent in Olmstead v. United States, 277 U.S. 438 (1928):
"Experience should teach us to be most on guard to protect liberty when the Government's purposes are beneficent. Men born to freedom are naturally alert to repel invasion of their liberty by evil-minded rulers. The greatest threats to liberty lurk in insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well-meaning but without understanding."

Very good read, sat down and read the entire thing this morning. I honestly do not know if it is the same publication as FB's, as most reasonable men refuse to send money or an address to someone of that character. Money comes and goes, your freedom and rights to own these dogs do not! Just a warning, Rockstar will have to answer if it's the same (or similar) to the book of interviews-I don't know.

Didn't even know Fat Bill had one out until after we'd already started working on the book. This one has stuff Fat Bill's doesn't (including some new and exclusive interviews,), and Fat Bill's has a couple things we don't - old Norman Hooten interview, Bob Pitts, etc. but nothing really that isn't recycled. Totally different books, but there are some of the same interviews in both. Bill's charging 50 +shipping for his, and you have to wait until he gets around to sending it, whereas you can get ours right now just for subscribing to the site, and you'll have it as soon as we are alerted that you have subscribed. In fact I'm sending some right now to subscribers who joined while I was out to dinner.
We certainly aren't trying to compete with Bill though. There are distinct advantages to having both books.

Well, rockstar, you are derfinitely right about internet explorer sucking ...big time. I have been using Mozilla Firefox and even though I have gone back to dialup service, it's faster and better than internet explorer.
