I believe that it's called a Dudley nose and is acceptable.

I dont think it is because my dogs have both been checked by UKC show judges, even though I don't show them, but they said both are fine except for my male has a blue eye. Anyways, some of his pups out of the last litter had half black noses and no one said anything about them.

I had asked this same question a while back. Here's a reply and a link that might help.

It differs from club to club. What some clubs think is OK, others may not. A dudley nose is pink or flesh colored. They are considered a fault b/c they are caused by lack of pigment in the nose leather. A colored nose (black, blue, red, etc.) w/ pink spots is called a butterfly nose & usually accepted, as most butterfly noses will fill in w/ time.

It isn't a fault as far as I know. I have shown the same and no issues.

Wally, is your dog a pup? If so, the nose pigmentation will usually spread/fill in as the pup ages.

The UKC and ADBA don't care about nose color.
