just wanted to say we had a great show and the biggest turnout we have ever had, this show had more entrie then the '05 national show. I did notice some member of this site there with some nice dogs like CB, southernland, apbtlover, scratchin dog and others but between pulling showing and judging i didn't get a time to talk or meet some of you guys, but you had some very nice dogs. My boy Bart earned his champion title on Sat and took Best Male on Sunday, and I am very proud of my new girl Spirit at her first sanctioned AADR show taking pound for pound female on Sunday with a pull of 4025 lbs, she weighed in at 42 lbs - here's her pics if anyone is interested http://www.lonesharkpitbulls.com/spiritpics.html
Hope to see everyone again at our next show and congrats on all the wins

yeah i was looking for Dewey but didn't see him anywhere so i thought maybe you guys didn't make it. I would love to see Dewey pulling again, i thought he really had some potential before which is partly why i got my two dogs off him. I had baron there also he placed 2nd on sat & 1st in his class on Sat. Let me know if you guys want to get him back into pulling i would be glad to help out any way i can.

Dennis Yes we do actually! We were told by Christy though that he would need to be walked about 3 hours a day to get him back ready, and that is VERY hard to do, when we both work and the time that were are here is spent tending to them anyways. So we are not sure how we are going to do it.
We didn't bring him this last weekend, we should have brought him instead of Sadie! LOL...j/k Not saying that he looked bad or anything when we got him, but since we did, he looks fabulous! Any tips to get him back would be much appreciated! He is a strong little fellow!
Congrats, beautiful dog!!!

He is a strong little fellow!just start with some light dead weight - for dewey i would just lat him drag about a half a cinder block about a mile a day. Do this about tow days then take a day off so you don't burn him out to get him back going again. Once they are trained i don't think they forget and Dewey was always good on the track from what i remember. Just as you are dead weighting always keep moveing forward and you decide when to stop. Dead weight in my opinion is the absolute best way to quickly get some stregnth back for your pullers after some time off. Any other question or anything i can help with just PM or e-mail me.
