I keep seeing ads in my local paper selling pits with a bloodline called ruffian,most want 500-1000 for the dogs.Is it real A.P.B.T or bully blood?

Yep, me too. Ruffian itself is not a bully line though. Some of the bully lines go back to Ruffian dogs and almost all bullies go back to AmStaffs.

Yea Gr. Ch. Boogieman had some Ruffian in him on bottom.

This is my blue he comes from a very solid Ruffian back ground a bit "bully" for some ppls taste but he's a good dog.

I have a pure Ruffian dog, and know alot of the "bigger" people who deal with the line. If you are seeing "ruffian" dogs being sold in the newspaper they are likely ruffian in like the 7th or later gen. True pure Ruffian blood is hard to find, most you will find is outcrossed.

A guy with this line just called wanting one of our COLBY dogs to start a breeding program. I really talked to him about the differences between the "TRUE" breed of American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Staffordshire Terrier and he said he was going to go pick up a Razors Edge female. Lol. Nice guy good looking dog but now he has a little education and knows more about what he is looking for and it wasn't a COLBY. Lol
