Can't I have a dog without food alergies....
I started to change Pistol over from Solid Gold to Timberwolf and she is missing little spots of hair along her side.
Last night after I fed her her tummy started turning red and splotchy and well as the inside of her ears.
Has anyone else experienced this? Can someone help me figure out how to tell what exactly she is allergic too?
Please help she is going to the vet on Monday.

Have you compared the ingredients? Maybe something will be noticably different and it could at least give you a starting point.

Mhmm.... My dog bit itself, and had hair missing on the sides of her, I wonder if this has got to do with allergies.. Wondering same thing, but I don't think dogs can have allergies from Dog Food you bought from the pet store, It's usually "human food" please correct me if I am wrong, I would like to know.

Not yet because I did not have the Solid Gold ingredients, but I bought some more today and will compare tonight. I am so dissapointed. I feel I screwed her up. I need to stick to the saying, "If its not broke don't fix it."

Fedor... sorry but you are wrong. Its pretty common for animals to have pet food allergies. My dogs are not allowed to eat human foods. I'm a stickler on that.

The reason I switched her food in the first place was because I lost my last dog to Lymphoma Cancer and I believe Timberwolf helps build dogs immune systems. I thought she would be a healthier dog on Timberwolf. I'm just trying to take every precaussion because I could not stand to lose another one. I was under the impression it was the best food out there. I only wanted to use hte best of the best this time.
Guess that was a mistake.

After spending 100 dollars at the vet we discovered she is more than likely allergic to chicken. Now I have a full bag of Timberwolfs Wild and Natural. Let me know if some one wants it.

First, you might want to check with where you bought it from and see if they'll take it back, even though it is opened. I know at least a few brands have a satisfaction guarantee... it should say on the bag you can get a refund (or maybe switch to a non-chicken formula?) by returning the unused food to the place of purchase.
If they won't take it, howw much do you want for it?

I believe you missunderstood. Its a new bag never opened. Timberwolf will not get back with me. I paid $33.00. I'll take 30. I was wondering if someone in my area wanted it, but I guess i could send it UPS.

Where'd you buy it from and do you still have the receipt? If its unopened they should definitely give you a refund or at least let you trade it!
