My female is about 1.5 years old. I noticed she is bleeding (spoting) from her anus. Can anybody shine some light? Thanks in advance.

My first thought would be that it's her tooty (lack of a better word LOL) spot bleeding....which would probably mean she's in heat. Has she been in heat before? Or have you had her fixed?

I got her fixed really late. The vet told me when she was getting fixed, she was starting her first heat cycle. I keep her im back yard and watch what is out there. The other days she did kill a rat. didnt eat it or anything just killed it. I have noticed her stool is larger than normal. but besides thats she is acting fine. i really watch over her so i know what she eats and doesnt eat.

Sorry, "tooty spot" made me giggle!

I hope she is ok!

Hmm. Maybe its just me, but bleeding coming from inside -- short of a heat cycle -- would have me going to the vet. That's nervous-making.

Since the heat cycle is ruled out....I'd be heading to the vet as well. Good luck, I hope she is alright!

When she has a bowel movement is there any blood in or on her stool?

If there is, is it bright red and streaked on the outside or darker red and mixed inside the stool?

You mentioned larger bowel movements, are they soft, normal or hard?

Have you ever had her checked for worms?

Is it possible she's eaten something that she shouldn't have?

There are so many things that can cause this that it's worth having her looked at. Take a fresh stool sample to the vets for a floatation exam when you take her.

Thank you all for the support. I have my gurl an appointment to see the vet.
