I went to the tattoo parler the other day in another town to see about getting a new tattoo. Well I wanted to get one of an apbt I wanted a conformation style type tattoo of a dog being stacked well they had nothing but big dogs and when I gave them some pictures of what I wanted they refused to make one because they didn,t want to make any of dogs that looked like they were starving. I said fine I will go to my normal tattoo shop and get me one there atleast I know he does good work.

I've never heard of a tattoo artist refuse anything except for racial slurs or satanic verses. It doesn't make sense why they would refuse a simple dog tattoo???????

Hey he was young once. And he is probably still young at heart. Give the old men some credit. God willing we will all get old one day. And you will have to take that laughing from some young brat then. lol

And I know they will laugh at me. Those whippersnappers might be able to laugh at me for some things, but at least they won't be laughing at my sagging Buzzy the buzzard (that once was a hummingbird) or the tribal tattoo that was on my lower back but has since fallen down into the crack of my a..!

When I get old I want look like a sweet little old sugar-cookie grandma, not a wrinkled up old retired artist from Miami Ink.

The ink they use for tattoos nowadays isn't like the old ink. It stretches and shrinks with the skin. The old ink used to break apart, but I think the new stuff has latex in it, so you don't have to worry about how it'll look after you get fat, old, lose weight, etc. My artist told me he did a tattoo on a girl on her stomach, she got pregnant, came back after the kid was born and the tattoo had no damage to it. Now, that's some major changes in 9 months.

That's amazing. I know I've met several older men who's tattoos were a bit fuzzy, while the women's seemed to grow a bit. lol.

My father has a tattoo & while it hasn't really faded or stretched, it certainly doesn't seem to look as good on him at 60 as it did when he was 25.

Yeah, I know. It's because of the old ink they used. Like most of the vets you see from Vietnam or WWII and around that time frame with tats, will look fuzzy and faded. They look fuzzy because the ink starts to break apart. But with the new ink, that doesn't happen. It still fades, but there's nothing you can do about that. I mean, look at some pro bodybuilders that have tattoos. They go from 250+ down to under 200 after their career and the tats still look the same. Just, a little bigger in comparison to what they used to. But that's just an optical illusion.

Tattoo's are a blast LOL. Stick with the guy your used to, this other idiot doesn't deserve your money. Getting artwork done is an expensive hobby, unless your friends with the artist LOL. I've lost count of the amount of money my hubby and I have spent but it was worth every penny. It's almost like getting a massage but sometimes, woooweeee it smarts. Haven't got one done of the dogs yet, but give me time, it will happen!

And as long as the hubby feels that they are still sexy in 30-40 years, who cares about the rest LMAO
