Say hello to Cash. 1.2yr neutered male. That was his 1yr birthday gift. I'm protecting the breed instead of having 5000 more pits without homes. We don't need over population. Thanks for letting me be apart of this forum.

Good looking boy. I am glad you got him neutered. Mine is 3 yrs and he is neutered. EVERYONE always asks me why I did it because "I could have made so much money off of his pups", etc. But I am glad I did. When you go to the animal shelter frequently and see thousands of pit bulls at a time, knowing what is going to happen to them, you don't wanna add to the problem and bring more pups into the world. There are plenty of wonderful rescue dogs.....I got one. Now, I will only adopt.

Cash was taken from a abusive owner. We actually got him from the guys girlfriend. We got him at 2 months old and had been thrown against a wall. Thats when the lady decided he needed a better home. He has been a joy in our house. He didn't have much to do with me until he turned 4 months or so. He was abused by a guy and i think he was just nervous. He took real well to my girlfriend. Now he is a big daddys boy and won't have as much to do with my g/f as he once did. He lives in a house with 5 cats, 1 other grown spayed dog and 2 birds.

Wow...that is amazing. I have saved quite a few dogs on my own and I just think so highly of the people who help all dogs to find them better homes. I have seen how many are in need of homes and it is just heartbreaking. That is good to hear that you did such a great thing!

Good for the both of you. Neutering and adopting is the best way to go =) If only the rest of the general public had the same view as the both of you!!

It is just a rewarding feeling to know that you have saved a dog's life. They are so loving, loyal, and unselfish...even after the harshest circumstances. They still seem to come out of their shells. Puppies are always gonna get a home....the older dogs...or the ones who aren't so pretty, or are scarred up, or you don't know their bloodline, etc....are the ones that get the bad end of the deal. :(

He is my best friend. He doens't care what time I come home just as long as I come home. He goes just about everywhere I go. If my girlfriend isn't riding with me somewhere, then he is most of the time. Its like having a real life kid but just a little more hair. I appreciate the welcome and the comments on Cash.

Great job with Cash and Steelblu! Steel your dog looks great IMO.
Unfortunately, here in Memphis your not allowed to adopt pitbulls. They have pitbull rescue groups, but I think they are out of town and you have to go through a lot of paper work/test to adopt one. Pits are euth'd 3 days after pick up.
