My cousin brought me an early christmas present last night. A female black and white pup. She's 6 1/2 weeks old. I am having a hard time thinking of a name for her. Could someone out there give me some ideas for a name? I'm trying to think of something unique for her. Thank you in advance!!

Early Bird cuz... 6 1/2 wks is to young to leave the nest. or,
you could call her Miracle: cuz it will be if she doesnt begin to get slugish, loose appetite or get sick being away from her bellymates so soon.
JTWO.
6 1/2 wks is time for that first shot and hopefully has been wormed. be careful where you put that pup down at and make sure those toys are sanitary and havent been chewed on by older dogs.

I like Miracle. I guess the litter was pushed away by the mother very early. I think that she should have stayed until she was 8-9 weeks. She has had her first shot and worming. I'm hoping for the best with her. She has a very good appetite and no loose stools. She will go for her first vet visit today, if I can get her squeezed in.

Im glad that your not one of those folks who thought I was tryin to jump down your throat by what I thought. Most ppl get their panties in a wad and start calling me and my dogs names. LOL. anyhow, just look after that baby. YES, get into the vet. tell them you have a 6 1/2 wk old pup and they will get you in.
yep, I like "Miracle"

WOW!! Thank you so much for the list of names!! Now, I'm going to have an impossible time picking one, but I'm kind of leaning towards Dasha, Naysa, or Tama. I love the meanings of those. I'll have to put those up for the family vote. Thank you again for the list.

The votes are in and after a lengthy discussion, the new baby's name is Dasha. She has a pittie brother named Demon and we thought that the names sounded good together.

She got a clean bill of health today. We are extremely relieved. We just have to monitor her food intake to make sure that she continues to gain weight and watch her for vomiting or loose stools.

Thanks to everyone who helped in finding her the right name. We appreciated everyone's input. We will hopefully have some pics up soon of Dasha and Demon.
