There are others far better for your money. Keep looking.

Bad is a good word to describe these mills. Price? too much for what they offer. You will certainly find much better quality at a bit lower price if you look a bit more. Try doing a query on this site for carpet mills, I hope that will give you many other alternatives. I am in the process of purchasing a mill from a millmaker in the Philipines but since I do not know for sure if I am going to get burned (ripped off), I cannot recommend him. Yet, he has a stellar presentation of his product (which made me decide to risk my dinero in getting a mill off him). Good luck.

Please post your opinion once you get it, RH. I looked at those when the guy posted them on this board. Just by looking at his website, they look nice.

Thanks for the responses. Just never seen them posted on this board is all, guess there's a reason, huh?
Rock, The shipping for a slatmill from the Philipines must be pretty outrages. His mills do look pretty damn nice though. Let me know what you think.

I know who you are talking about. I don't think you have anything to worry about. But if you do have a problem let him know. And let one of our brothers there check it out if you have an issue. He seems to be a good upstanding fellow. Let me know what you find though. It is always good to know the pro's and con's of any product and service recieved from a vendor. I have been eye balling his product as well.

As for the mill in this thread. I wouldn't spend more than $100 for that stuff. To frail to be someting that will last the long haul.

That one guy everyone is mentioning from the Phillipines said he was hanging it up in December. I talked to him about a week ago and said that he was moving on. He will only make the mills that have or will be ordered by the end of December. I too was going to get one of his mills but I doubt that I can place an order that soon. He had a special going on the shipping; something like if you buy two mills you only pay one shipping price. If any of you do get a mill from him let us know how they worked out. It's a shame he's giving it up.

Sorry about all the damned questions, I just don't want to end up buying two mills because the first one was a piece of junk, and Lord knows you guys know way more about them then I do. What about these two? If they are both good then which one would you guys choose? Thanks in advance.

Grand carpet mill is tried and true, wonderful peice of machinery. Are they still making mills?

Broegen-both of those sites seem to have a fine product as well. You will be happy if you stick to one of the 3 links posted above me ;)

Glad to hear good reviews on Grand Carpet Mill. I just purchased one online about a week ago and waiting for it to get here. The mill should be here on Tuesday, hope my boy likes it.
