I know it may be a dumb question, but I am just curious about wether I should get this dog or not..I know the owner is very responsible and is an extremely good trainer in tempering APBT's to be loving and obedient but the dog's 9 months and she rescued it from the vet because some ignorant person was wanting to put it to sleep because that person said it was a Pit Bull. It has no papers so I don't really know what kind of dog it is but is looks alot like a red-nose APBT. She says it is well tempered and will take a bath with no problem, house-trained, leash-trained, and is great with her kids. But I have no way of knowing its history or what kind of dog it is. Is that dangerous? Here he is. Any suggestions?

Go visit the animal, spend some time with it. If its a well-mannered stable animal, and your able to give him a good home, then go for it. These dogs dont just up and change one day. You can pretty much expect that how the dog is at 9 months, is how it will be for the rest of its life, if treated properly. Be aware there is a high-chance of dog-aggression when mature, with any specimin of dogs bred for combat for hundreds of years.
Best of luck.

Thanks 14rock. So do you think it's an APBT?

It definetly appears to be mostly "pitbull".
