If Georges St.Pierre won. Then congrats to Georges, I wish him the very best in the sport. But, most definitely BJ Penn is still the better fighter between Hughes, St.Pierre, & Penn or in their weight class. Kudos for St.Pierre, none the less!!!...

I def. disagree with that one. I think BJ is below both Matt & GSP. Maybe BACK IN THE DAY BJ could compete, but unless he had an amazing come back, i think he's done. His last fights have looked horrible IMO.
I "know" Matt, and love GSP. I think Matt is def. the better wrestler and is stronger, where GSP is a more well rounded fighter. Sad to see Matt loose, but im glad the GSP has the belt. Should be some good title defense matches. CANT WAIT to see GSP get rid of Serra, and i would LOVE to see him hand Diego his ass! :D

Gsp had a country breakfast lol, Hughes is a great fighter, but personally his attitude sucks.
Bj penn is good fighter better than Hughes but i dont think he is at the same level as Gsp, if there were a rematch against Gsp, he would gas out like he did with Hughes, he needs to take his training more seriously and join a camp.
What do you all think is going to be the outcome of the Ice man vs Tito Ortiz, I will be rooting for Tito, but , something tells me chuck is goint to take it.

I admit Matt can have his moments, but meeting him on several occassions (he comes down here to train/help train), he has always been nothing but nice & helpful. But i can see if you just go by some of his interviews, he can seem a little cocky. But then again, what MMA fighter isnt to some degree? The most humble MMA fighter i know is Jeremy Horn. He is such a stud! Sorry, that was off-topic lol.
I REALLY want Tito to win, but unfort. im sure that chuck will win again :(.
I would looove to see Chuck fight Silva. I think Silva would be the one to beat him.

matts a great fighter and was a great champion but he always seemed very cocky and arrogant ,although that bein said it could all be a show for the cameras, either way gsp is a great fighter and seems very humble and a decisive third fight is gonna be needed before anyone agrees on whos the better between the 2,as far as tito and liddell go i hope tito gets knocked out i cant stand him

you want to talk about an attitude. Tito is the one with the attitude. not quite as bad now since liddell put him in his place. i hope to see liddell do the same in their upcoming fight. tito might do o.k. as long as chuck doesnt hit him in the face again. lol

Chuck's style is unorthadox, there is no way to train for punches that come out of nowhere not to mention the concrete he has for hands. :D

I will be rooting for Tito aswell, but to be honest, Chuck is fast with his hands, I dont think Tito can stand toe to toe with him, the only way i see Tito taking that belt, is by doing what he does best, taking Chuck to the ground and let the punishment begin.
Now Silva vs Chuck, that fight "would" be more interesting, but again, I think Chuck would take it, as Silva is the belt holder of his weight class, but there are many pride fightes way better than him, I think a better match for Chuck would be Shogun Rua, hell , forget about putting him vs Anderson Silva, Cro cop or Fedor, they would all own Chuck .

I knew GSP would take it, but Matt will make the rematch VERY intresting, im sure. GSP can adapt to anything, Hughes didnt come in with a good gameplan and it cost him. Be sure he will be watching vids and come into the next one with a solid plan, and even the score quite a bit.
Matt was the belt holder for how long, and people think he was too cocky? Damn, if you'd just beat the shit out of every up and comer thinking he was the best in the weightclass, I think you've got a right to be confident in your abilities. Dont forget what you see of Hughes, is what Dana White and Zuffa want you to see, if you see interviews with him outside the ufc cameras, he is a very humble person. Wasnt it GSP who was saying the belt holder (Hughes) didnt impress him in his last fight? Its called gamesmanship, get in the others head, and promote the fight, make the money. I like em both, they are at the top of my list of favorite fighters in the UFC. Wheres the "I dont like GSP he's too cocky" train? LOL dont hear it because he's a new champ, people just wanted to see Hughes fail. Give GSP 6 succesful title defenses, and I'll bet you we will start hearing people whine "I wanna see him get taken down a peg or two, he's too cocky". Its the nature of the sport, and the nature of spectators wanting to see the king fall.

THANK YOU ROCK! Someone that see's past the UFC vail.
Its like when they had Jeremy Horn come on and fight, Jeremy is THEE nicest guy i have ever met (he's kind of a dork :) lol). But Dana/Zuffa got him to talk some trash... and Jeremy doesnt do that.
They want Drama, and they will do whatever it takes to get it. All the yummy guys (oh, dang sorry... my mind is wandering ;) lol) that come here to train HATE Dana, he is a punk. Dana basically told Riggs on one of his fights that if he didnt agree to the fight he was done in the UFC (Joe didnt want the fight because it was last minuete, and he didnt feel that he was ready).
Think about Tito. The UFC loves (& hates lol) him. He brings the drama, and so does Ken... thats why they put each other on the same show. Personally i think UFC is starting to get a little too WWF for me..... :(

Silva would eat Chuck alive. Matter of fact, most light heavyweights in Pride would.
Here, watch Quentin "Rampage" Jackson put Chuck in his place.

I find it amusing when Chuck calls out Wanderlei Silva on UFC TV when he knows he had his chance 2 years ago and he didn't even make it past the 2nd round of Pride's elimination tournament.

Damm, i just finished seeing the Huges vs Gsp fight, i didnt give one round to Hughes, Gsp outclassed him as a fighter , plain and simple, Hughes wasnt expecting that high kick and down he went, then ground and pound, followed by vicious elblows to the face, he didnt have chance, I honestly cant see Hughes taking back the belt.
A lot of people think that just because Chuck loss to Rampage a while ago, Rampage can do it again, Chuck is a much different and improved fighter than before, at this moment I dont think Rampage is at the same level as Chuck as a mma fighter, like I said before I dont even think Wanderlei Silva go take out Chuck, I would give it 40/60 chance of that hapening, now put in Cro Cop, Fedor or Sho Gun, now does guys would play soccer with Chucks head.

Tito and Vitor Belfort beat Silva. Chuck beat Tito and Vitor. MMA fighters have different styles of fighting just like every other sport. Comparing fights is ignorant.

the tito chuck fight is alot like the hughes gsp. tito is gonna look to ground and pound. only thing is chuck has one of the best take down defenses in the game. just look at how forest griffin handled tito's take downs after he woke up in the second round. rock solid hands versus a questionable chin makes for a bad night for tito. i think it's gonna be the same outcome.

Comparing fights is ignorant.I know that you cant compare fighters based on past wins against common opponents. Arithmetic doesn't work in MMA or boxing. I just think that if Chuck was realy bad ass, he would call out Rampage instead of Wanderlei. I mean, that's the guy that beat him right? Rampage is at UFC events all the time walking his fighters to the cage, he should call him out then.
Rampage would whoop Chuck's ass again and Wanderlei would ax murder him. Don't even get into what Crocop and Fedor might do, they're not even in the same weight class.
Since Pride is doing shows in Vegas now, hopefully one day we won't just be debating what ifs and they realy have a Pride / UFC event... But I doubt Dana White would let that happen.

Shure he wouldnt, what put his dear poster boy Chuck on the spot and loose millions,it would be awsome, if the event would be with Pride rules, that way Silva can throw some lethal bombs while chuck is still down.

If we are to compare PRIDE vs UFC in terms of willingness to confront, UFC (Dana) takes it. Dana (UFC) took his fighters to PRIDE atmosphere in the assumption this gesture would be reciprocated by PRIDE. Fact remains that PRIDE has chosen not risk their highly vested marquee names and loose their corner of this market.
Who brought whom to which organization to challenge same organization's highly promoted champion?
Why would anyone bring someone from "the outside" with high potential to win against a fighter they have invested so much in?
IMHO, if it does not make business sense, it must be making matching sense [to Dana]. Sure, Dana must have his eccentricities like many other type A personalities. It, should not negate his contribution to the MMA sport.

"horrible"? BJ mastered GSP and Matt on standup. Had outstanding takedown defense in both encounters. Undoubtable beat Matt two of three rounds. GSP won his encounter against BJ thanks to take-down "points". In the eyes of numerous fighting fanciers, BJ lumped GSP up.
So, when you say that "back int the day" he could compete does not give credit to the man that has high probabilities of beating either one of these men any day of this week or the next. Yes, he should do more road work and stop assuming his natural talents will suffice. His lackadaisical approach to preparing to a fight does not equate him into a "has been". He is still strongly coveted by all the top MMA organizations. I wonder why?

Well, if you see him tell him to work on his boxing defense and leg kick offense. If he ducks rather than cover whenever chuck flurries out punches, he will have better counter opportunities. DO NOT attempt takedown defense until mid second round. He must first weaken Chuck's legs which will soften his punching power and take down defense.
