View Full Version : "Bad Breeder's List"...
I found this on another site, and I'm not certain/sure as to its accuracy, but figured you guys can read it and judge for your selves. It contains a list of kennels "not to deal with"...
as stated, you guys can be the judge.
Just a "head's up"...
some of the posts are older, but it was just posted again, as of yesterday.
****once again, I'm not sure how accurate it actually is.****
don't shoot the messanger ;) ...

I never heard of any of them. Don't reckon they have any thing I would be interested in anyway. Seems like that list could become a hate list though for some one just pissed at another. It would be good information if indeed correct for the potential buyer.

It's a list of kennels that are not giving what they promise. Like, if you promised to do something for me in exchange for something I made, and you never honored what you said, you'd make the list.

When I was shopping aroud on the net for a new pup a few months ago, just about every kennel that i visited was breeding blues or advertising them. I'm really annoyed with blue dogs and people buying into them.

So the kennel trying to expose bad breeders was destroyed because of the government's outlook of the APBT due to bad breeders. That hits me in the stomach.:(

Mostly because a high percentage of them now are not pure breeds. Nor were most bred to be to standard. Not saying yours if worked and tucked that stomach up wouldn't be that way. Breeding for color always seems to involve sacrificing other aspects to get the colors desired more often. It isn't any thing personal about a dog being blue it is why is it blue. By chance or by breeding soley to get blue putting game or something else to the side or being of less importance.

That may or may not be true about your dog, who knows for sure,so many peds are just made up nowadays to make dogs looks good and on top of it the dog is bred for that color you wanted so all in all it's a fraud dog and you could be a fraud too. That wasn't the point I was trying to make though. I made the statement about blues because I noticed most of those kennels on the "bad breeders list" were breeding blues.
BTW: Just because your dog hass this great pedigree doesn't make it a great dog. More than likely the above statement I made is correct about the papers being hung and I bet someone took two blue dogs and stuck them together to make a quick buck. Don't worry about it though, it's your dog and in the long run you have to take care of him, not me. Good Luck with him!

Most folks here dont consider those good kennels. This is a game dog site, and am staffs and dogs bred not for working ability are frowned upon. So, I hope no one jumps on what you have said, but you have your heads up.

Nice job...I just keep thinkin "Here We Go Again" I would change your wording just a bit...Am Staffs and dogs bred for other than working ability being called APBTs is frowned upon.
No offense to the young man and his blue dog...I hope he enjoys the dog...got an Am Staff myself from show quality blood ---- she is fixed.

People breeding solely for ANY color, whether it be red (which started the big fads), white, blue, green, purple, etc., is the work of an irresponsible breeder who doesn't give two shits about the breed standard.
It's one thing if most of your dogs happen to be a specific color due to genetics (for example, probably 40 of my 48 dogs are red but that is just because of the genetics behind them but NONE were bred because of the way they looked...color or size wise), but it's another if someone says "Oh, I like that blue/white/red/purple dog so I think we'll find another dog of the same color & breed them so we can get some puppies of that color."--that's the words of a shitty breeder.

Anyway...Everything they are saying about color is true...Example..at the last show, I had a couple of people come up to me when I was getting Phantom out of his crate...They were probably around my age, I'm 19, and they were like..Wow, he'd go good with our female...So I automatically thought, they looked at his pedigree when a few friends were looking..Well, no, they didnt. I asked how she was bred, they weren't sure. They go, she's Blue and White, she'd go good with him cuz he's black and white...I just ignored the comment all together and went on. Its not good to breed for color. Yes I like my patchwork dogs, but I'm not going to breed two patchwork dogs just because of their color. Not a wise move...Oh and I like your blue dog..nice conformation. Don't see many of those. LOL...I hope I haven't stuck my foot in my mouth.

Thanks. My Blue dog isn't a APBT she is a Shar-Pei. And yes she is a fine show dog and conforms very well to that standard. She is very hyper and I have to work her hard to get her to calm down for shows. Pudgy the Male Shar-Pei is laid back and I have to motivate him for anything. lol like night and day.

You loose alot when you breed for color. If you don't know this you are sadly mistaken. Breeding for color is just as bad as breeding for size.

What is a "pitt bull"
That is exactly what I was thinking, LOL. People who can't spell the breed name right shouldn't be allowed to own unaltered dogs.
I'm not trying to sound mean it just REALLY bothers me. It's pit bull or (correct) American Pit Bull Terrier, not pitt bull, Pitbull, pittbull, American Pit Bull, American pitbull, American pittbull, Pit Bull Terrier, pitbull terrier, or pittbull terrier. There is no "tiger stripe" and it's not brendel! <Almost none of that was directed at you pittfallin, so don't take it personally. :)
