Can someone explain what both lines are known for? If I'm correct, isn't Boyles off of Bolio? Is it best to just get dogs off of Pat Patrick for the closest Bolio blood?

If you want true line bred Bolio dogs Pat Patrick and Dog Gurl are the ones you need to see.

Boyles bred dogs using alot of Patricks blood (bolio). However, he didnt exclusively breed the Bolio line, and added a fair bit of other blood in the mix too (Hank for example).

This is correct. Boyles bred dogs using alot of Patricks blood (bolio). However, he didnt exclusively breed the Bolio line, and added a fair bit of other blood in the mix too (Hank for example). This is correct. Bolio was the main dog Pat Patrick used for his breeding program. He kept some of his sons and daughters, bred him back to his daughters and offspring off of that to his sons and so forth, thus creating his Bolio strain. Ronald Boyles used 2 of those dogs described above bred by Pat to create his Boyles' strain. He used Bobby Jr. whose dad was off of Bolio and his mom was an inbred daughter of Bolio, and he used Dirty Mary who was a grand daughter of Bolio. This is what they have in common. And yes if you want the highest percentage of Bolio blood Pat Patrick is the only one. You will be told otherwise but it's all Bull. There is a kennel called NWO who has Patrick dogs they breed which is as close as you can get to getting one directly from him. I got one from Pat who has Bolio 23 times in 6 generations. Go see who else has that. By the way I've had the pleasure of owning 4 Patrick dogs (no Maloney in them) and have been very pleased with the results.
