Not in my experience, no. I'd say Chinaman was more an issue of treatment in the early start of his life, over breeding.

I cant say that any particular line produces reg manbiters ....I beleive that its more of a handling/conditioned issue....in most indavidual cases of the APBT.

I've heard of certain bloodlines being so called "manbiters" but as stated above, its probably just over treatment and handling. I think that its too generic to say all of blah blah's off spring are "man biters" its kinda like saying all APBT are man biters.

I've had a few Frisco dogs and they loved attention and were friendly to everyone
My friend has a yard full of dogs down from Chinaman and theyre friendly and well behaved, his yard is pretty quiet
Tom got Chinaman as an older dog and he never saw any signs of him being aggressive towards humans and he calls the man eater stories and bunch of bs, he doesnt believe them

There is no set standard regarding ''manbiting'' with any particular bloodline. It all comes down to the socialization the owner has provided. Where the bloodline might influence is in the following, Ex. Some bloodlines are known to be a bit shy and others more outgoing. If you have a dog who is shy and poorly socialized he will tend to keep his distance or maybe get in his house when approached. On the contrary a dog who is not afraid of humans or isn't shy will probably confront a stranger when it approaches his territory to defend it. A well adjusted dog will recognize a threat. One might bark at you if you approach him and he doesn't know you, but he should act playful if he knows you want to pet him. But, like in any breed every now and then you''ll get one extremely aggresive or extremely shy. The bottom line is that many things can play a role in this, but if you breed animals with stable temperaments you have a high percentage of having offspring with the same. So, if you have a puppy which is leaning a bit to one of the extremes just work with him till you balance him out. Use your common sense.

i think thats stupid to say just because of a certain kind of blood this determines the future of a dog if thats the case what about us.just love your dog and treat it with kindness and the rest dont matter.ignorant people cant be helped

I personally have no problem with a dog who recognizes and deals with a threat to us or our property. Most can sense this. However, if a dog shows tendency to bite me, out of the breeding program and cull city!! I dont even play around with this.
As to Chinaman, from what I understand, the reason he did bite was when handled in the box. He was trying to get the handler to let him go so he could get at his opponent.
The old Mountain Man had one that bit him several times, and others, I just wouldnt be able to put up with it, no matter what dog it was. Especially this day and time.

i would not have a real manbiter. An excite biter, well i kind of like that. If a dog has that much drive and want to then hell fire. Although most people do not need a dog like this. They seem to require more knowledge and experience to handle a dog that high strung. And even some good dogmen probably dont like or want this.

Thats right , I have had a lot well I still have a few that get crazy But they are not MAN BITERS , They are very good dogs But you have to Handle Them not let them handle YOU! But some lines are a little more people mean I dont care what any one says, I know the old stuff out of Paladin were a little more people mean than I like .And I raised them just as good as every dog I have ever had But they did not like strange People at all. But they were O.K to me. thats why I dont have any more off that. And I had about 30 to make my judgement Befor any one says I am Slamming a blood line. They were 1 person dogs all of them I had. And I dont like to have in the back of my mind about them getting some one when Im not around. Yis J

whoever you heard that from obviously doesnt know Tom and shouldnt talk unless they personally heard it from the person theyre speaking about, thats called talking sht
I already posted what Tom actually said about Chinaman and he would never keep a dog on his yard that wasnt human friendly
