Thats why I make ones with velcro ends, to hold the end down snug to the collar.

Trust me, you want at least an inch to 3 inches passed the keepers.

Compare my collars to others, and you will see that I move my keepers a little closer to the buckle.
This is so, it can't back out of the keepers. If you move the keepers to far out, collar ends will back out, and come unbuckled.
If you don't keep your dogs on chains this is no big deal, but if you keep your dogs on chains you will know what I am talking about.

Cali is not a big dog. she wears her stillwater collar on the second from last hole but we dotn have the problem with the end of the collar hanging off because we use the one with the velcro ends.

You can always add an other hole to Stillwater's collars if needed, I am sure he would even be glad to add a couple for you if you ask him. I have a 32 pd. female that wears one full time on the last hole. :) You won't find a better collar for a better price guaranteed!

I like his collars...obviously its your choice, but I really liked his seat belt collar. If you have a dog on a chain who rubs its neck, great collar. Bought one for my ex room mates dog who pulls like a crazy dog on its chain. No rub, hair grew back, looks good...

If you're worried about the extra you can always cut it off. Make sure you leave a few inches past the keepers though. Right after you cut it burn the end so it doesn't come undone. Nylon is pretty easy to work with.
