Last night i saw a lady being pulled by her dog on a cart. Well, it was more like a sulky. Does anyone here cart with there pit bull or pet bulls? I just thought that the fact that most pit bulls are great pullers that maybe some people here do it with there dogs.

I have a friend who get's her mixed breed dog to pull her on ski's. I just adopted a husky cross and might try him out when he's full grown,he's only 10 months old now.

The only problem I could see with using a APBT is if they have a high prey drive, you may end up going for a tour through the bush LOL.

LMAO. I had someone tell me the other day I ought to let the dog pull the stroller while I just run behind it. My poor child would end up on a roller coaster ride through who knows where!

However, we have rigged 2 of our neighbors' wagons to wear the dog can pull them (w/weight pull harnesses) & give the kids rides. That was our way of breaking the ice when we moved onto our little street. Everyone has a good time. I forgot to mention that we walk beside the dogs & they are on leash.;)

We have ours pull Blaize around on the sled(just a small regular sled) in the snow. He loves it and when they get tired, they try to climb in with him and make me pull..LOL.

LOL! That's one of my major fears. I think I will try to have him pull a wagon with me at his side to see how he acts. My daughter would really love to be taken for a ride on the wagon being pulled by Azul but I must first scope it out. Thanks guys.

My wife has been interested in doing this. My dog is old and so she is waiting on our next dog. Doubt the dog will be pulling her, but she wants to train it to pull a cart.

I don't know if you'd call it carting, but I use a pulling harness with a landscape wagon to pull heavy stuff around my yard when I'm working outside.

When we had our landscaping business, I used to take Petey with me on jobs to help move materials around the customer's yards. Everyone loved seeing him.

The biggest problem I had in the beginning with Petey was getting him to stop, he just wanted to keep going and going and going. When I would hook him up to give all the kids a ride in the wagon, my husband used to joke that he'd come pick me up in New York.

I solved that by using a Halti, just like a horse.

EDITED TO ADD: This (http://www.cartingwithyourdog.com/cpgqueenlilly.html) looks like the harness I use for pulling the wagon. You can get it here: http://www.bridgeportequipment.com/ProductDetail.aspx?productId=552

And I WANT one of those sulkies too!

Thanks guys for the links and the info. I had Azul pull my daughters radio flyer and he seems to like it toooooo much. He wants to keep pulling even after I give him the heel-sit command. I guess now that he's "working" he enjoys it alot. I will scope that harness out. Thanks alot guys. FYI, the beast that was pulling the lady was a Caucasian Ovtcharka. Have you guys seen this type of dog before. First time i see it. That dog was huge and very protective of the lady, but I must say that the lady had that dog on check.
