I have an 11 month old APBT. He is currently 17 1/2" tall and weighs 39 lbs. Approximately how big will he be when he is fully mature?

Also, neighbors bordering both sides of my house have Rottweilers. One is probably about 80 lbs and the other about 100 lbs. They are both tethered behind a 4ft chain link fence, but both have broken their collars on more than one occassion. If one of the Rottweilers were to jump the fence into my yard, could my dog adequately defend himself? Common consensus among pit bull owners would be yes, but I just don't see how my little 39 lb pit could hold his own against a much larger dog.

Here are a few pictures, not of my dog, but of some that look very similar in size and build.

Weight sounds fine, depending on how the dog is bred, he may be close to his mature size.

As far as protecting himself, probably, but its best to try to avoid that altogether of course. I'd go so far as to buy a good collar for the dogs I'm worried about. Collars are cheap, and vets bills really arent. Contact Stillwater, he'll hook ya up with collars that wont break.

Once mature, chances are he will be able to get that rottweiler to jump back over the fence and stay away in no time, but as a pup, it could be extremely hard on the dog.
