View Full Version : What areas of the site needs the most work?
Until the pedigree center comes out, we need to work on different things on the site. Please vote on which part of the site needs the most work in your opinion. If you have suggestions as what we should do with what you vote on, please voice your opinion and let us know what we should do :)

I believe more articles would be the ticket. Those we got are real good, we just need to work on adding a few more. And maybe also work on the features for the Premium Members..........
There has been 3 votes for "Other?" I'm not going to mention any names, but I need to know what that "Other?" is :)

I too agree with articles and we also need to look at the reputation system. if people don't use it, then they should lose a point ever so often. we should really utilize the point system. We should also install harsher rules for people who just want to publically run down others.

This subject is touchy and lengthy, the vet part, also, the extra care to minimize yard accidents. One of the most informative things I was ever told by an ole' respected "dog-man"( after I bombarded him with an array of questions)was ...."DO YER HOMEWORK SON' " I've seen too many dog-men who've done the g-testing,cond...,etc. but here's a dog with med-issues needing PROMPT attention, and the dog's bummin' cuz his owner has question marks in his eyes.Being that it's all about the dogs is meaning part two is it's all about doing the homework.Being in the "fast-lane" is hella hard-work. The dogs are worth it, They'll show ya!

Any info on where to aqcuire vet info, any reading info,i.e old b-dog books, etc.etc.And......legal info, any and all that would help any poor laborer who's raided for no reason, and they find a dog or two with hunting scars, yard accident scars, and see's his stuff auctioned off, dogs "euthanized", and buku time in the Gulag.

Well, most people tell me it is very easy to navigate and some others say it is very difficult... I think it's just different and will take some time to get used to :)

I think the site is going great. Its only going to get better with time. So much has been done within the last few months. I don't really see anything that needs "special attention". If I were to say there was one thing I would improve, it would have to be the premium member's area. I've just read everything there was to read there. LOL. I just love to read things about conditioning and overall health of a dog. Well I love everything about the breed, but the area that catches my attention is health/nutrtion. I guess because I have a scientists' mind. Is there anyone in the group that could help me understand genetics a little bit better. I feel that if I get that down I would have accomplished learning a major part of the breed.

the design is messy in my opinion. and the forums are a little hard to navigate with all the sub forums and what not.
there's my $0.02

We are currently working on the biggest of the premium membership features :)

I don't really think the design is too messy. I mean really compared to others it just breaks things down and simplifies things. Well at least in my opinion. I just feel that if we didn't have all the sub forums people would be searching forever within the main forums and get tired of looking for the info they are searching for and eventually move on. I know I would.

Well, the sub forms we have now do simplify some things... but some aren't simplified enough and others are a little too simplified... but improvement will always be needed ;)

Do you mind elaborating a bit more? ;)

i am just always missing posts because i just click on the sub-forums and i miss the the forum that it's in itself.. i don't think sub-forums would really be needed.. just make categories like you have now. i don't know how i would really handle it.. i'll think about it and get back to you.

The Threads All About Kids And Peoiple Being Mauled. We Are Suppose D To Be Helping Our Breed So Only Post On Good Things These Wonderfull Animals DoWe do wanna help the breed, which is why we try to give advice on the proper caring and restraint of these dogs and ways to avoid accidents. Too bad more people wouldn't listen with an open mind and try to do the same.

The Threads All About Kids And Peoiple Being Mauled. We Are Suppose D To Be Helping Our Breed So Only Post On Good Things These Wonderfull Animals DoWell... that is true, but it makes you realize that there are millions of irresposible owners out there and the importance of being a resposible owner.
It's good to post all of the news, but it's useless and could be a negative feature of the site if something isn't done about it (ie: commenting on news articles with your opinion on the story)
If people start using it like they should be, a long with the other parts of the site... it would not only be useful, but an asset. :)

It's a shame but if the negative stories weren't posted, there would seldomly be any news to post.
