Pooped out

Our dog is already house trained when she is upstairs. when she is down in the basement with my daughter, every night she poops on her couch. she doesn't do this anywhere else, just there. Is there some product we can put on it to keep her from doing this? this is really the only problem we have with her.

Possibly try feeding her at specific times daily if you dont already(like once in the morning and once at night) at let her out/walk her on a regular schedule and often. You can use a crate to and that will probably help, but she may poop in her crate, you just have to try some different stuff and see what works, there isnt always one good solution.

Are you letting the pup out at night? For an inside dog, its not a bad idea to wake up 2-3 x's a night as young'ns to let them out. They just cant hold it that long. Depending on the age of the pup, maybe once will work if the dog is a bit older. After you've ruled out she absolutely just cant hold it, then you can start worrying about what is going on to make her go there.

For the mean time, yes, they do make a pet odor remover, which removes all traces of urine and feces (supposedly) so an animal doesnt go there anymore. I've used it, and it works.
