I found a stray (white pitbull about 35 pounds) today at work and she is sweet and very playful and i would like to take her home but i have a 2 year old and i can tell (at least by her teeth) that the dog is an adult. I am not new to the breed only new to children but i was wondering if there is a safe way to introduce her to my daughter or would i be a fool to even try. she is a sweet dog and i would hate to see her go to the pound. the other part of this is she has some bite marks and she is in fairly athletic shape so she could have been fought but i dont think so ive seen fighting dogs and these dont look like that kind of scar but i live in arizona and there are coyotes out the ass around here so maybe thats where the scars came from. Any ideas would be helpful i really dont want to see her go to the pound but its not worth puting by daughter in danger.

how 'bout rather than bring her right home, take her to a place where children frequent and watch her behavior/reactions regarding them. (let her observe from afar). Then if she acts ok, not aggressively, muzzle her, if you're still leary, and she how she does.... how is she with you=a virtual stranger?
