26 dogs, most of them Pit Bulls have been euthanized following a raid that netted four Covington County men. Authorities say three brothers face charges of dealing drugs and illegal dog fighting. They are identified as Kelvin Feazell 27 years old, Terrence Feazell 23 years old, Willie Feazell 29 years old. Another individual, Terrance Price is behing held in the Smith County jail under $200,000 bond, suspectd of selling controlled substances according to authorities.
Lawmen seized controlled substances, an assault rifle, and a submachine gun at four different houses during a Tuesday night raid. Also seized were 26 dogs...24 of them were Pit Bulls. Animals bred and used for dog fighting. WLBT News obtained disturbing pictures of injured animals from the Mississippi Animal Rescue League. Many of the dogs had old scars...one Pit Bull had fresh wounds on it's legs and neck. All were chained near a 20 by 20 foot fighting pit. Debra Boswell says drugs and Pit Bulls are becoming a problem throughout Mississippi. "We look at it in that we have relieved their suffering they won't spend the rest of their lives on a chain in a fight ring being torn up, being bred to make more and more pits just to go out there and fight. So while it's sad we feel we've done what was best for the animals."
Lawmen say the men lived next to each other near Mount Olive. "We had 68 officers involved, some 28 patrol vehicles on the scene. Because of the violent nature of these people in the past, we knew they were holding weapons, we knew all these things, so we carried a huge group of people in there to execute the warrants," according to Smith County Sheriff Charlie Crumpton.
Authorities found scales, an all sorts of medications at the houses Northeast of Olive Branch. Even appetite stimulants to red blood cell builders. Boswell said the pit bulls were staked close together, to keep them agitated.
Sheriff Crumption said investigators seized a small amount of drugs during the raid, some methamphetamine and marijuana. he said the brothers are suspected of distributing drugs in at least 10 Mississippi counties.

Well isn't that interesting. Should be headered as Illegal drug and dog fighting raid. As both elements are equally illegal. lol As if there were legal dog fighing. It is just a wasted discriptive word. Details are irrelivent. As they didn't mention if they had rolling papers and what ever you use to take the other drugs found. Media are a bunce of retards.

I dont even know of murderers who get that sort of entourage.
68 officers for the raid, glad to see they werent spending their time chasing rapists and murderers, but getting those gosh darn dogmen, doing real police work is way too dangerous, and doesnt garner near the headline story!

What are they gonna do, place these animals ? They cant place those animals with folk that can and know how to care for him ......with out cause for a paper trail anymore.
Next opption is to keep em in cages as they clearly stated that they are opposed to life on a chain... I doubt that thier able to handle or house those animals appropriately

Well, let me give my two cents on this particular matter.
Drug and gun trafficking and our dogs SHOULD NOT mix. If someone refuses to get a job or cannot for whatever reason, do your crap waaaay out of the way of our dogs. If they were drug traffickers, I am not sad for the brothers. I am certainly sad for the dogs involved though.....
an assault rifle, and a submachine gun? I have never been to MS before, is that common "protection" for people there?
What is methamphetamine anyway:o?

AS a member of the NRA and a gun owner myself working at a gunstock factory for about 4 years I am no whey against guns of any kind. Hell I would have a sub machine gun myself if I could get buy with it.
My issue is Drugs dogs and guns BAD Mix makes the gun owners and dog owners look bad.

EXACLTY! If you want to be scum and deal drugs, thats your business, but PLEEASE dont put these dogs into the mix!!
There are too many idiots out there mixing the 2 and getting caught because of dealing, and even though the dogs have nothing to do with your stupidity, they always get the bad rap.
One or the other people!!
Dont give the good Dogwomen/Dogmen out there an even worse name!
