BSL in Nova Scotia Canada??

A friend of mine told me he seen on the news a certain group that is trying to get pitbulls banned in Nova Scotia. Anyone else hear of this, any fellow Canadians on here hear anything??I hope this is not true, we deffinetly don,t want what happened in Ontario happening here.
