A friend of mine has a pup who's parent's litters were both registered with AADR but never as individual dogs. So she was asking if she can get the pup registered and if she can would ADBA and UKC accept that so she could register her with them too? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

i dont think so but you could try with adba and the other thing is that aadr registers any dog so thats the down side to it cause through aadr you can register any dog and you could start your own blood line with any dog through them but i know that adba accepts sporting dog registry and thats if you have mom and dad registered and adba will only register the pups.and ukc forget about it there has to be at least one dog in your ped that is ukc then you have to take it to a ukc club member in your area to see if the dog is to the ukc standards well good luck with what you were looking for.

Here is what is on the ADBA website, I would contact them if you do have a pedigree and ask them if they accept that registry.
Single Registration
To Register A New dog with the ADBA requires a Single Registration Application.
(Important Things to Remember When Single Registering Your Dog with the ADBA)
We must have no less than THREE complete generations back on the dog that you are registering. We also need to know the complete registered names of all the dogs in the pedigree. This means the breeder's name and the dog's name (example: Smith's "Tonka").
If the dogs in your pedigree are not found in the existing ADBA files we will ask for pedigree verification. This means that you will need to submit a copy of the organization papers (U.K.C., A.K.C.,etc) where the pedigree information was taken from. If are not able to locate this information then we wouldn't be able to register this dog with the ADBA.)
If the sire or the dam of the dog being registered is registered with the ADBA you will need the owners' of those dogs to sign your single registration application. This signature is needed for verification that the breeding between those two dogs did take place.

and for UKC, the dog has to be one year old. It does have to be inspected, you can find a list of inspectors on the UKC website, and you must have a copy of at least a 3 generation pedigree, I don't think they accept AADR, but you can call and see. I do know they accept ADBA, so if you can ADBA register, I would do that first, then get a 4 generation pedigree to send in a copy of with your UKC registration application. It is $45 to get a dog single registered with UKC.
You don't have to have a UKC registered dog in the 3 generations to get a dog registered, however, if you know they are UKC registered, try to get the registration numbers, because UKC does not cross reference names and numbers. If the father was UKC registered and you don't provide a registration number, your papers will come back "not UKC registered", believe me, it happens, then you have to try and find the numbers and pay to get the pedigree corrected and new papers with numbers issued. Also, alot of times, dogs have different names with UKC and ADBA, so cross referencing names does no good.
Anyway, hope this helps
