I came across something yesterday, that really made me laugh.......I know it probably isn't funny, but well.....it served its purpose.
Okay, this guy said he had 2 pit bulls at home. I asked what blood they were...he replied ALBINO.....I said what? He said Albino...you know the ones with the RED EYES and pink skin? I was in such disbelief. I didn't know what to say! So I was wondering if there was actually such a thing as this. I have never heard of this before, even with people breeding mixed dogs to get pit bulls.........somebody please elaborate for me, as I guess I am uneducated on this subject!

There are albino APBT. They are not a blood line though. just a lack of pigmentation. Nothing more than that. Just like the people ones they can't handle the sun. They should be culled.

A buddy of mine had an albino boxer.. that was the meanest dog I'd ever met. They eventually had him pt own because he was out of control.. got to the point of dumping a bucket of food over the pen while he was jumping against it trying to attack the person feeding him.. dog was psycho

Now would I say that? lol You be the judge of that. I do beleive that some people should be culled due to defects, criminal activity and intelligence. It is an oppinion. I have not put it into law yet. lol Just remember it when I run for dictator of the world.

Isn't there something wrong with albino dogs? Other than the skin defects?

Yes. They are often blind or have a higher potiential to be blind or become blind. They often have hearing problems. It is the case in nearly all abino creatures. Across the board if every living creature was culled for suck defects the strains would be stronger. In the wild albino animals don't often survive that long. Often because they stand out to predators including man. It is part of why it is so rare in the wild to have such. Humans and the animals we raise get bred dispite flaws and deformaties. A practic that should be stopped. I understand the desire for sex and to procreate but weak genetical speicimens should be fixed and culled from reproduction. Seems harsh and sure isn't a liberal thought process but it is a fact that needs some serious thought. I look at it like this. If I were a genetic basket case why would I want to bring a baby into the world that will also be that way. To start life with limited quality of life right off the bat. That is just wrong in my eyes. I ran across a dude that was breeding albino to albino with the desire to get more. He was going throught the list of defects and problems he has with them. ???? doesn't make a bit of sense to me and I told him that it was the most retarded breeding format that I have ever seen. Basically they are vampire dogs. They can only be out at night the way he is breeding them. The dogs can be white with out being albino. So one could breed for white if that is their desire. I don't suggest it though.

The only albino animals I've ever seen and liked are the albino snakes. Pythons, corn snakes, etc. I don't know if it makes a difference in the wild with albino snakes, cuz they're not bright white or anything, more of an off-white/yellowish color. And I don't know what other defects they may have, or if people purposely breed for that trait in captivity....

And I don't know what other defects they may have, or if people purposely breed for that trait in captivity....Well in the wild before they are even grown most are eaten by birds and other predators. You have to blend in when your small. Once and if they grow to get large then there are only a few predators that pose a serious threat to the snake. Also they need to blend in to sneek up on the faster rodent. Even in star light the lighter colors stand out against the black soil of the jungle. Some snakes use color to their benifit like the corral and mock corral and other bright snakes. But they are faster and strikers unlike constrictors that are slower. I don't know much about corn snakes. Any way even in the canine world. Unless they are in the artic the canine will stand out and the pups often fall victom of predators and the adults finde it hard to sneek up on prey. Today many dogs don't have to rely on hunting for food but some still do. Unless they are cave dwellers they are going to starve or get eaten.
