In the world of Frisbee Catching Dogs, Wallace has stormed onto the scene.
The Pit Bull from Rochester finished 2nd Place at last year's Nationals in just his first year in the sport.
In September, Wallace will try again at the National Championships, and this year, he and his owner Roo Yori, hope to become top dogs.

Wallace rocks! What a neat dog.
Natas was a hell of a frisbee dog in her prime. She could snag it out of the air around 6'. Then she'd arm wrestle you for it, though. She'd bring it back and drop it, but fake me out and snatch it right as I went for it. She felt she was too good for the "drop it" command, and preferred the fake out game. (My husband let her own him for four years before I came along) It took me forever to get her to "drop it".

Well, technically, she did "drop it"-she did what you asked. Did you follow it up with a "leave it" command? I have been experimenting with Odin, and making him sit before receiving food, I then follow it up immediately with "leave it". Its gotten to the point I can leave a bowl of food there, and walk in the other room, and he wont touch it. HOWEVER, if I say "sit" and dont follow it up within a second, that butt touches the ground, and is a pogo stick running for the food bowl. If this isnt something you worked on, try it ;)

Nope, never used "leave it"- feeling a bit silly over here. You probably could have saved me hours of training had you whispered that tid bit in my ear 4 years ago. I would say "drop it", and reprimand her for trying to snake it when I went for it with a "No! Drop It". Meanwhile trying to get a grip on a super slobbery frisbee, adding pleasure to her game. Geez, what an amateur!;)
So now the poor thing thinks "drop it" means "drop it and leave it or else mommy will start acting bizarre again".

That's way cool. Looks like the dog loves what he does.
