illegal to own breaking sticks in NY?

Does anyone the laws in NY regarding if its illegal to own breaking sticks since some places consider it "dog fighting equitment" :confused:

My girl is very dog aggresive and i am going to be getting 2 sticks ....

one to keep on me when i have her outside on walks and one just to have extra since better safe than sorry IMO

Should i keep it out of site when i have it on me and im walking her??

Well, I live in New York and have used in front of several cops...long story. Nothing was said about the sticks (they probably didn't have a clue) but one did comment, "well, that was quick". lol

I would not recommend having it in your pocket (could be assumed as a weapon). I usually carry it in a black plastic bags together with my other black bags (used for scooping up stool) and a clean rag. I suggest you carry two if you are going to carry any at all. Remember that if there is an accident, there will be at least two dogs involved.
