Hell yea it is, i think it's actually been hotter up here in PA than its been down south in ATL. We reached over 100 three days in a row this week, today its finally back down to high 80's. Yea i definately just hung out in the house with the dog and did much of nothin. Maybe today i can make up for it with some good work.

When we had our heat wave of two weeks of 110 + temps, we took Blue into the back yard and let her chase the water hose. She got exercised and cooled down at the same time...as she gets sopping wet attacking the hose.

it has been 90-110 for the past month still hasn,t let up. Last night about midnight it got down to about 80 but it is back up to the high 90's today
:I havn,t done anything but feed and water the dogs because of the heat. We usually practice every sunday pulling the dogs but that isn,t happening.

u know it's hot when you don't even see any kids out playing, the steets are dead in my town. it's kinda erie i can't remember a summer where there are no kids out running around, poor ice cream man.

I guess I should consider myself lucky. I work under AC and my dog stays indoors. I wait until after 9pm to take him out.

I hope the temperature gets better for our dogs' sake.

It is hard to work Smokey when every 30 mins he starts to hyperventiate tougue gets all juicy I give him water and you came for get it then because he get the IDIS and you can't do anything else with him....

watering the dog down after u work it is fine but u can't keep a dog cool while he's running around in high 90 degree temperature. The thing is a dog only has to run around a little bit in this heat and it will start to overheat so really there is not much one can do other than be very careful not to overwork the dog and keep it hydrated.

As far as letting Blue play with the hose, we kept the sessions short and mainly just got her sopping wet to keep her cool. We don't have AC. I know some people keep kiddie wading pools for their dogs to play in. Just make sure they have shade and plenty of water.

see ur lucky my dog is terrified of the hose and won't jump in the pool, he only likes the river so really there is nothing i can do to keep him cool on hot days other than keep him in the AC. Now the IDIS well thats a term thats shortened down from niggaidis, it refers to when ur overworked and really don't want to do a damn thing anymore other than sit around all day long. LOL look at me tryin to define a made up word lol thats great its just a saying like after eating a really big meal and u feel extremely full and want nothing more to do than lay down well we call that niggaidis lol

That is for sure. I wish I could remember the name I keep thinking Anita's because that was his sister's name but I just can't remember. Hell that was back in 84-87 He and I were stationed at Ft Campbell. It don't seem like that long ago and I have the image of the place and evey thing in my mind but the name of that restarunt. ole mind took too many knocks to the head I suppose.lol I'll be getting down that way here in another month or so for that show Marty was telling me of.

I was walking my 8 month old female earlier today and she just fell out I only had her out of the kennel for about 15 minutes I don't know whats up with her I walked over too her and she got right back up and acted like she was fine I put her back in her kennel and gave her some cold water and she seems to be ok do you think I should take her to the vet or what.
