I have a few dogs heavy on the Wildside stuff. It's like any other line, good with the bad.
Alot of people dont like the Wildside stuff because they used Bandit as a foundation dog. Bandit quit in a match but showed extreme gameness at MANY other points in his life. According to some, if you wanted some Gr Ch Outlaw blood, Bandit was one of the few dogs you could get it from. Gr. Ch Outlaw was considered by some as one of the all time greats (not my opinion).
The dogs that I have arent Wildside bred, just off some of their older dogs. IMO that is what to look for, a person with older wildside blood that has worked and culled it. My Wildside blood is thru Lucifer, Renegade, Ghangus Khan, Jaws, and Ch. Cowboy. I have a few with this blood and am happy with them.
I've always liked Squirley Shirley's pedigree from Wildside, wouldnt mind giving that blood a try.

Exactly!!! Thank you!
Whoa there Southeastern! I wouldn't bo so quick to praise a person who defends basing a yard on a cur. If the shoe were on the other foot & we had a fella who based his yard on a known quitter today he'd be getting bashed to hell & back.
If push comes to shove, we all have dogs in our peds that quit & many of the greats of yesteryear quit. A few that comes to mind are CH. Bo, CH. Rascal, CH. Honeybunch, Spook, Bullyson & Vindicator, just to name a few.
But back in the day of Honeybunch, etc. there were not as many well bred APBTs around as there are today & a well bred dog who quit was usually put back on his chain space to mature & recover & tried later.
But in today's day in age where there are many APBTs & a large gene pool of good dogs, so IMO there is no reason to base your yard on a cur.
JMHO ...

There was a long story behind Bandit quitting. I have about 6 pgs from Farron on the topic. But really, isnt there a long story behind any matchdog?? just saying, not starting stuff.
