Advice From Old Timers

I have an 12 week old female gamebred pup and she wont let another dog come near her with out her snappin and fighting. I doesnt matter how old the dog is old or young she fights with out hesitation. What should I do, some people around me tell me to encourage this behavior because that is what game bred pups do. Dont get me wrong I am definately not saying she is game or anything like that but some people say that game bred pups always act like this. My question is what should I do?

me i would leave her alone,do nothing,just keep a eye on her when your around other dogs.

You should have known this before you got a game bred dog. Just keep her away from other dogs and what ever you do don't leave her alone with another dog because you will come home to a mess.

Oh beleive me I knew what I was dealin wit I just wanna want opinions thats all. It aint to much to deal wit or nothin like that I just wanna make sure I am goin about it the right way. I now keep her away from other dogs and I tug a war with her all day and I also wrestle with her all day. She is a rough lil bitch and her drive is amazing, I love this lil pup.

IMO you are doing everything right. Sounds to me like you got yourself a good bulldog.

OH NO Marty I have just been around people who owns Game Bred dogs but me actually being around a game bred dog all day I havent. I had to be around them for awhile before I actually own one. I had to study them but honestly you can learn alot more if you own them.
